Magical Pencil

Rohit was born into a poor family, but he was a good artist. He could draw beautiful pictures. One day, when he was returning home from school, he saw a pencil lying on the road. It was very beautiful and attractive. After looking around and finding no one there, he picked up the pencil and brought it home. That day he got an assignment to draw a chart of different types of birds. He started drawing the chart with that pencil. When he completed the chart, he saw that it started shining and all the birds drawn on it came alive. All the birds started chirping and flying. They all flew out of the room. He was surprised, so he decided to draw some more things. He drew a pair of clothes, which also came to life. He got scared and ran to his parents to tell them everything. After listening to him, they realized that the pencil was magical. On his mother's suggestion, he started drawing everything they needed daily throughout the night. At last, he drew a beautiful house, and at that very moment, their old house was replaced by the new one. In the morning, when the villagers saw their house, they were shocked and started gossiping about the magic. One senior villager came to their house to know about this sudden change, but Rohit and his family denied telling him anything.

Every day, Rohit drew various items with his pencil, and his father would go and sell them in the market. Day by day, they grew richer and richer. Despite their wealth, they did not become proud or lazy. Two of Rohit's neighbors, Ram and Shyam, were very curious to know the secret. They tried many times to find out but were always unsuccessful. One day, Ram and Shyam decided to sit outside the window of Rohit's house the whole night to discover the secret. They sat there until midnight when they saw the light of the house switch on and the whole family enter the room. They listened as Rohit's father asked him to draw something on the paper, and that very thing came true. Now they both understood everything and decided to steal the pencil the next day. The next day, when Rohit went to school and his father and mother went to the market, both Ram and Shyam entered the house and started searching for the pencil. After a long time, they found it in the next room. They became very happy and said that now they would be the richest people in the village. When they were coming out of the house, Rohit also came back home. Seeing the pencil in Ram's hand, he understood everything. He asked them to return the pencil, but they denied it. So, Rohit tried to snatch it from their hand. They started fighting, but during their struggle, the pencil fell on the floor and broke into two parts. Now all the magic of the pencil was gone, and it was just an ordinary pencil. Rohit and his family were hardworking, so they had enough to survive and live happily. Thereafter, they lived happily.
