Love Story: A Tale Of Memories

Rithik lives in a loving joint family, consisting of his elder cousin brothers and younger cousin sisters: Rishi Khanna, Rishivaran, Sri Varsha, and Deepthi. Since his school days, Rithik is excellent in both sports and academics. This makes his cousins jealous and they ridicule him, a lot.

But, whenever he goes to his hometown, Rithik is shown partiality by his mother Ramani's family members in Pollachi(Consisting of his uncle, aunt, paternal uncle, paternal aunt, maternal uncle, and maternal aunt). Though he gets angry at them for doing such, he tolerates their actions. Since he knew that it's all done under the influence of his mother.

Even his cousins mock him and make pranks instead of supporting him. Thus, it leaves him devastated to the core.

The only people who strongly supported him in every aspect are his father, Rajanayagam, and grandparents Rajammal and Azhagar. He is a successful and leading entrepreneur in the outskirts of Somanur in the Coimbatore district.

While Rithik manages to tolerate their irritating behavior, his father one day suffers a severe road accident, while going for a business meeting. He is admitted to the hospital.

Besides being warned by his paternal parents and cousins(who fears that, he is going to leave), Rithik considers his father to be important and goes to see him, with his paternal uncle.

He is determined to cure him. Seeing his son's strong support, Rajanayagam takes him. However, Rithik had very few days of happiness with his father. Because, the third day, under the plan of Ramani, his grandmother comes along with another villager, forces him, and takes him, along with them.

Again, Rithik suffers a hell life with his younger cousin. However, he slowly moves up, when he saw the intriguing affection and love of Deepthi. He starts to consider her as his own sister.

But, on the other hand, his cousin brothers are now shocked and hence, meet their aunt and uncle, who makes an evil plan and considers that time as a golden opportunity to anger Rithik.

She asks those trios to torture Rithik to the core, as much as possible. As told, they refuse to give him a car or bike telling that, "If he drives, he would drive fast and none can trust him, including his parents."

This angers him a lot and when they further beat Deepthi, he thrashes up his cousin brothers. Everyone gathered around and his mother slaps him for doing like such.

Instead of supporting him, she admonished him. This angered him to the core and told the truth, with Delphi also. At that time too, she supports them.

Angered a lot, Rithik calls his recovered father back and tells him, "How all Ramani's family left him affected psychologically and asks him to take him back to his house. But, on a condition that, his mother should never come to their house."

Rajanayagam heavily agrees with his son's words, as he suffered and got impacted a lot, besides being intelligent and brilliant in everything.

Rithik furthermore, turns as a rude, bold, ruthless, and heartless fellow to everyone, which surprises his friends. Since, they only saw him as an innocent, crying, and coward.

When a few of his trusted friends Anuvishnu, Rohan, and Aravinth ask him about the reasons he reveals to them: "When the world changes, people have to change their behavior and character."

One day, his mother comes back asking for forgiveness from them. Having sympathy, Rajanayagam and Rithik let her enter their house. However, Ramani has planned to avenge Rithik for humiliating her.

At first, she stops him by not letting him attend the reunion party of his school friends. Then, she brainwashes Rajanayagam to keep an eye on Rithik

Rithik is unable to warn his father about the plans made by his mother, in order to destroy them. He keeps quiet.

But, his father soon starts to realize this. However, he asks Rithik to avoid the negatives. Since she has done a good thing of "taking him a good care."

This angers him and he starts to get angered with his father. They develop a strained relationship. From happiness, Ramani plucks everything from Rithik. 

Nevertheless, Rithik leads a happy life along with his friends, father, and his father's relatives(who are all with him supportive). He respects his paternal parent's family, as they were full support to him, from the beginning.

When Covid-19 strikes and lockdown was issued after the 12th, Rithik makes a beautiful plan and brings his relatives to have beautiful moments in their house, other than focusing on works.

They all make those days, wonderful. But, once the lockdown is relieved and college reopens for Rithik(In online), Ramani expresses her wish to meet her parents to Rithik. Without informing Rajanayagam, she goes.

Rithik was already angry with his father, for not making him attend the reunion party. Hence, he cooks false words to him.

Rajanayagam disowned her, after being brainwashed by Rithik. He threatens his mother to stay there telling her that, "He would go out of this house if she enters in."

Later, Rithik goes for surgery on his eyes and recovers. His father took care of him. Though his father has done very few mistakes, he has supported him a lot.

One day, Ramani's family members call Rithik telling him that, "His grandparents have died" and begs him to come and pay for the last visit.

However, Rithik refuses and tells them, "I will never come to see them. Let them die. Now, you all realize my pains."

Being Hurt and heartbroken with his words, they hang the call. However, Rithik feels remorseful and meets his mother's family, just for his grandparent's sake. After the cremation, they ask Ramani to be taken along with their family, to which Rajanayagam accepts with a condition: that is, "to reform and lead a good life with him."

This angers Rithik and being furious, he shouts at his father, back to the house.

"Very good, dad. Very good. Nice to see these things. Did she ever supported us or respected our family? Only her family is important to her. But you have brought her back. She plucked everything from me. Didn't you know this? I have taken care of you when you met with an accident. That too, even my paternal parents prevented me not to go. Besides that, I came to cure you. Did she ever did like such?" asked Rithik and he goes near to his mother and tries to kill her, by straining her neck.

Feared, Rajanayagam prevents him by hitting him.

"Dad. Did you only beat me? Are you doing this, knowingly? Good. Then, why should I stay with you all? I have no respect and no one, considers me as a human. You all treat me like a dog, right. Now, I am telling. I have no family and no parents. I am now an orphan. I prove you all that, I am also capable of proving myself, in this world" said Rithik and he pours water, all over his body. Implying that, he has disowned them all.

While going, Rithik stops and tells them, "I forgot to tell you something in English, which is used in common. Goodbye!"

Besides being prevented by all, he leaves his home, recalling all the memorable days with his father and family. In the outside world, none respects Rithik and no one gives him a job, since he is only 18 years and has to gain more experience.

He travels to many places in Tamilnadu by train and finally, reaches Thirunveli. There, he sees a village chieftain, being chased by a few goons.

He stops them and kills one of those goons when he asks him: "Why should we leave you? Will you raise your voice against our boss? Are you having that many guds? It's wrong." 

"Why did you kill him, instantly da?" asked the chieftain after introducing him as, Raaja Pillai

"He is telling that, it is their fort. No one is big here. All are equal" said Rithik.

Seeing his bravery, Raaja adopts him, and one year later, now Pillai is a highly influential and respected farmer with Rithik's influential ideas and thoughts. Rithik has completed his first year, online in PSGCAS.

They all lead happier lives. Rithik sees Pillai's daughter as his own sister. Now, as a second-year student, he is asked to join the college, as per the rules, passed by the government. 

Rithik sees Darshini a.k.a, Darshu in the college. But, she is not ready to speak with him. Now, he recalls why she is not talking with him.

In online classes, Rithik met Darshu, co-instantly in a chat. Her jolly attitude attracts him a lot and started to chat with her. Upon learning that her mother is no more and she was raised by her father, he was touched a lot and supported her by all means. She hails from a brahmin family.

He falls in love with her sooner and expressed this to her. But, she didn't accept him. Because she doesn't know much about him. Darshu and he continues to talk. But, when she learned about his villainous behavior from the classmates, she breaks up all ties with him.

Rithik tries to speak with Darshu. But, she refuses to talk with him. Thus, making him heartbroken. Situations further worsen, when Rithik meets his cousin brothers Rishi Khanna and Rishivaran(Currently, third-year college students) again in the college. He gets angry at seeing them and leaves the place.

They try to speak with him through all means. But, nothing works out. Meanwhile, Rithik sees a few of his friends, trafficking Drugs and beats them up, asking about the person behind these things.

They tell that some rivals of Bharathiyar Government university are behind this. Rithik tries to create awareness about education to students and his efforts attract the college lecturer and teachers.

Principal Govindaraj Naidu, assigns him to create an awareness among students, seeing his fire and motivational quotes. Initially, many disobey Rithik. Dejected he asks one of his friends: "This dress is superb da. How did you get this?"

"My parents got this with their hard-earned money da," said his friend.

When he asked his several other friends, they too tell the same reply.

"Everything is got by your parents, right. But, have you ever thought about how did they earn that money? Have you ever saw did they wear proper slippers? They earn for you. They live for you. I know, how much painful it is, when parents are egoistic and selfish. But, a majority of your parents want you all to be good in all aspects. Now decide whether education is important or not!" said Rithik.

Everyone co-operates and Rithik eventually changes the drug addicts to a good path. Initially, a few parents from the students rejected the ambitions and dreams of their children. But they eventually agree to their dreams after Rithik tells them that: "It is not the education. But, their dreams and aspirations would save and take them to the next level."

Eventually, PSGCAS tops up with a few other government colleges also and wins in sports and education across Tamilnadu.

Initially, a few ministers try to thwart the efforts of Rithik. But, their efforts fail since Rithik meticulously defeats them all with his tactful plans.

All studies well. Darshu eventually understands the good nature of Rithik and she falls in love with him, which he accepts.

Rishi Khanna and Rishivaran inform Rithik's parents that, he is a gift to them. They try to meet him. But, he obliges to meet them and behaves harshly. Still, thinking about the past. As a result, Rishi Khanna brings Rithik's foster family to the college and reveals everything.

His foster father tells Rishi that, he knows everything, and indeed, his name is not Raaja Pillai. But, Ramalingam Gounder. The estranged younger brother of Rajanayagam. He eloped and got married to his wife, Yazhini Pillai. As a result of this, his brother disowned him and he lived with the identity as Raaja Pillai in Tirunelveli.

His wife died after giving birth to his daughter. After his daughter had born, he got many...from good agricultural lands to good political background. This made him several rivals, who were jealous of his good ideas and plans. They tried to kill him.

In that situation, he met Rithik(who saved him) and soon afterward learned that, he is his brother's son and the psychological problems, that he had met in his childhood. Aftermath, Rithik helped their place to develop in Agriculture and wiped out the industrial sectors, which tried to harm the places.

He has done many good things, wherever he goes. Training children with Martial arts(in Tirunelveli), Creating awareness, etc. Raaja Pillai tells Rithik to be a precious and greatest gift for Rajanayagam. (After meeting him in the house) He emotionally forgives his younger brother and they reconcile happily. 

Initially, Rithik was still angry. But, when he saw Pillai's daughter supporting his father, he reluctantly accepts to stay and didn't maintain good relationships with all.

Three Years later, Rithik is now working as a General in the Indian Army and realizes how hard, life is and realizes his mistakes, that he has done in his life. He goes and meets Rajanayagam's family. 

He falls to everyone's feet and apologizes to them all. When he sees Rishi Khanna and Rishivaran, he apologizes and falls to their feet. Emotionally, they hug him.

Later, Rajanayagam gives a surprise to Rithik. He sees Darshini waiting for him, these many days.

"Go Rithik. For the past three years, she has been waiting for you" said Rajanayagam.

"Come on. Go da" said Raaja Pillai.

"Thanks a lot, dad," said Rithik and he hugs him. 

Then, he goes and meets Darshini.

"Hey, Darshu. What are you doing, here?" asked Rithik.

"What bothers you? You didn't even call me these three years. That much work for you ah, da?" asked Darshini, beating him.

He blinks at her and she tells him, "Go. Go far away. Don't see me, again."

"Hey. I would go Darshu. Ok. I am leaving. Bye" said Rithik.

She holds him and tells, "If you go, will I leave you? Stop da. Hug me." 

"What?" asked Rithik.

"Hug me da" said Darshini.

He hugs her and they embrace each other.

"I love you," said Darshini.

"I love you too," said Rithik.

In the aftermath of a voice break, Rithik tells her, "You know Darshu. Life is full of joy, memorable moments, and fun. I realized it only after joining the Indian Army. When I saw you, it has become a love story with a tale of memories."

"It's a fact, Rithik," said Darshini. They both then proceed and happily joins the house of Rajanayagam. 

Darshini meets Rajanayagam's family with Rithik. There, she tells them that, "To get them married, they have to convince her father. Since he is an orthodox Brahmin and opposes inter-caste marriage."

Rajanayagam asks Rithik to convince Darshini's father within one week and get married to her happily.

Initially, Darshini's dislikes Rithik and refuses to talk with him well. But, he feels impressed, when he changed Darshini's brother-in-law, who used to be arrogant and selfish to all.

He explained to him the quotes from Garuda literature, Bjagavat Gita, and the importance of life patiently. Further, he took him to an ashram and showed a few children. Seeing this, he reforms eventually and starts to respect everyone.

Touched and impressed, Darshini's father meets Rithik's college professors. He is impressed when they told about his efforts to change several people. He decides to get Darshini married to Rithik, besides the caste.

Since he now realized that: "Love is beyond everything. Caste doesn't matter. Only the tale of memories plays a key role in love." He formally meets Rajanayagam and eventually, Darshini and Rithik get married amidst all conflicts.

Rithik's mother for the first time in her life wholeheartedly blesses her son, with tears. He feels happier. Everyone takes a photo and later, he goes with Darshu to Ooty for their first night. While going, Rithik tells her that, "We have to experience a tale of memories in Ooty also."

Hearing this, Darshini smiles and they proceed to move to Ooty, in their car.
