Love Revived At The Age Of Fifty!

Mr. and Mrs. Parekh, an adorable Gujarati couple who lived with their kids in Delhi, just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in a huge ceremony and as a gift, their both the sons and daughters-in-law gave them a 7-day tour to Mumbai And Goa. Well for a couple who had spent half of their lives in Gujarat and Ahmadabad, a trip to such coastal and crowded place was definitely a strange yet beautiful feeling! 

Well, the surprise didn't end here! Along with this, their children gifted them a new set of clothes, 2 cute hats and a pair of shoes each! Well, at any cost they had to make it a memorable trip of their life! 

Soon both packed their bags with all the essentials and of course "Besan ke Laddo" (as Mrs. Parekh was doubtful about what will the flight attendants serve them!) and left for the airport. Now again this made Mrs. Parekh nervous as it had been 24 years since she had traveled in a flight! 

"Let me take you on your second honeymoon!" , Mr. Parekh winked and said, just to make her comfortable. 

It took them around 2 hours to reach Mumbai. They were quite elated as for the first time they had been to such a "much talked about" place, but at the same time pollution and the crowd made them uncomfortable. Soon they were picked up by a cab and it dropped them to a hotel, a 5 star one! Well, this was the third surprise their children gave them! The hotel had all the necessities that a homely place should have, but Mrs. Parekh had a habit of taking tension, and this time it was about the white bedsheets that the hotel provided! After having a conversation of almost 20 mins with her husband regarding bedsheets, both slept with a peaceful mind when her husband said that every day they're washed and changed! 

The next morning they were about to leave for their tour when someone from behind tapped on Mr. Parekh's shoulder! As he turned, he had the widest smile on his face! Yes, it was Mr. and Mrs. Patel, his best friend with his wife with whom they had spent 22 years of their lives before shifting to Delhi with their kids! Their neighbours, their best friends were right in front of them, and they couldn't resist hugging each other! All four shared a group hug with laughter and tears of joy!

The phone rang and as Mrs. Parekh picked up the call, all four shouted, "Happy Anniversary Mummy-Papa!, here is your last and the most awaited surprise!". Well before they could convey their thanks, all of them said welcome and asked them to continue with their trip, now with more fun! 

Now all of them were on cloud nine, after all, who doesn't want a trip with their best friends!? 

Soon Mr. and Mrs. Parekh and Mr. and Mrs. Patel started their Mumbai trip! From, sea beaches to church, from the gateway of India to Siddhivinayak Temple they did not miss a single place! Also, they tried all the cuisines they could and gave the famous "Vada pav" a try, which is apparently impossible to find in Delhi! All this took their 3 days and each day ended on late night chit chat of both the men about their business and women about how good are their daughters-in-law! Well, this was accompanied by those Parekh aunty's Besan ke Laddo and Mumbai's Cutting Chai! 

Well, again it was time to board the flight the next day to Goa, but this time Mrs. Parekh wasn't nervous as she had her best friend with her! 

The next day around 11 in the morning they reached Goa, once a dream destination for both the men!  With beaches all around and foreigners in short clothes, both the ladies had now a topic to gossip! While their husbands were busy locating some good places and a vegetarian restaurant to dine in, Mrs. Parekh and Mrs. Patel were there checking out girls in bikini! 

Soon dawn had shown its face, being in goa, pool party or going to the pub or maybe a night out is something people look forward to. But this elderly couple were quite hesitant in opting for any of these options. And once again somebody came to their rescue! Yes! The hotel they were staying in Goa had arranged for 4 new pairs of clothes for them. It was an Indo western Pajama Kurta for the men and an elegant gown for the women. "Ma'am, Sir you please dress up and come down soon. Looking forward to your presence.", the hotel staff said as he handed over them their respective outfits. 

Thirty minutes later, as the two couples walked down they saw a makeover to the hotel! The lawn was covered all over with the fairy lights, and a table for four was set up with their favourite Gujarati dishes on it and soulful music playing in the background! It was a dream night for the four! They had never imagined they could ever witness such evenings in their lives! It was a dream come true for them! They were on cloud nine. They had no idea whether to enjoy the night or to thank their kids! They had indeed experienced the best days of their life and this tour was much more memorable than they had imagined! 

Afterall a 50-year-old man with his 47-year-old wife had set new standards that yes, they can go to Goa and Mumbai at this age and can complete their Goa trio without pubbing and clubbing too!
