Judgement!

Judgement!

Today I and my brain were talking about HOMO SAPIENS. Humans are a wonderful creation of God. They are amazing because this species is a thinker. A thinker who knows the importance of logic and emotion. The scientific name “Homo Sapiens” in itself justifies it, as Homo means Human Beings and Sapiens means wise.

That is why man was able to create a society. Then he made some rules, modalities, right and wrong and some dos and don’ts of the society. And most of all it is expected that this should be followed as far as possible. Outside of all these rules, scales or right and wrong, then the person who thinks or does something, is simply judged!

“Hey! You return from your workplace at different times despite being a woman, you deserve judgment.”

“It has been so many years that you earn only this much, you deserve to be judged.”

“You did not do any job even after studying so much, you wasted your time. See how far the world is ahead of you. Your decision has been made.”

“Neither big car, nor big house, be ready to be judged.”

“You are fat, black in color, short in stature, belong to minority community, be a cop, an excise officer, advocate, model, a teacher, live alone, befriend another gender, you deserve judgment.”

“It will not happen to you", “You will not be able to do this”, people easily judge your courage and ability.

This list is endless. You can think of some other things that are not in my thoughts yet.

Thinking all this, I miss the line of a poem named “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner”, written by Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

“Water, water, everywhere, Nor any drop to drink”.

In the above context, it is Judgement, judgement, everywhere, No Thinker to think!

The question arises that why are these assumptions made?

In response to this, what I understand now is that our habit is either to judge others less or to understand them better than ourselves.

So what should be done to avoid these assumptions?

I think maybe we should not compete with others. When you read this, you will wonder what it is like to be an idiot! This is a time of competition. This is the time to run faster than others. This is the time to be strategic and be calculative.

Yes! Maybe.

But this is negative competition. Competition teaches self-analysis.

It is a beautiful process that wakes us up. It will never let your energy go in vain to see why the other is better or less than me. And in the end it will bring its own unique changes and awakening.

So beyond all these perceptions and prejudices, a wonderful life is waiting for all of us. If you want people to be sensitive towards you, then appreciate and understand the decisions and lives of others.

Moving beyond this snoop, showing sense of wisdom in the right way, let us move towards our own uplift.
