The lurker was behind him everywhere he goes. A shadow but unseen. He could feel him. Sometimes he thought he had got paranoid and need to see a psychiatrist.

He dialed his best friends number and she said:

It's been a while!

Yeah, it is! How are you?

The lurker was listening no doubt. Still, he didn't want to be alone in his company.

He felt sighs at his back and a whisper:

You can run!

He turned back to see immediately but nobody else was there. Was he hallucinating?

 He changed and got ready and left home.

I can not sleep for long!

Thomas disclosed it to his friend, Khania. An anglo afghan pretty girl in her twenties. MS in I.T from Boston Just like him, as well as his class fellow there.

Let's capture this culprit!

She said. 

How?

Tell me all the details about it and we will plan something.

Well, he listens to everything!

It's ok. He is not an I.T specialist like us, lol.

They went into the study and started her laptop.

Both got busy building python codes and managed to put in their problem there and asked for a solution.

The machine showed a log file full of codes and machine language, which only they could understand and surely not the lurker.

They both looked back and she felt like she heard a laugh behind her as well.

She stood up frantically trying to figure out what is happening!

He replied.

Suddenly the codes chain got all mixed up on the screen.

 Or was it just happening in their minds.

Then the screen got blank

She panicked and started breathing hysterically, and hugged him tightly in fear.

All her poise evaporated into thin air and she seemed quite vulnerable and hence more attractive to him.

He hugged her back and said

There must be away! We just need to search for it.

So went on browsing and Google out every piece of information about the problem at hand. From ancient myths about lurkers to all psychology books and definitions of the term.

She even called her doctor friend who's a physician and assistant in psychiatry.

She interviewed both of them and looked at the data at hand and added useful information herself.

Then they ordered pizza and started watching movies related to the same topic. It only increased their fear though!

Suddenly the tv stopped and all lights flashed on and off.

They screamed in fear and ran out of the house, even leaving their shoes behind!

They ran on the street barefoot and people stared at them.

They dumbed in Dr's car and she started driving like crazy. 

There was a rush at the busy road and the car turned smart and started following its own route no matter how much Dr tried to turn in the opposite direction, it went insane!

The car went out of the city and followed a strange route to the jungle. 

They stopped shouting and hugged each other closely as the car entered the jungle by itself and was slowly moving inside it.

It was getting dark in the forest. They heard animal voices and got more scared. They tried calling 911 but even their phones got jammed!

They felt something cross their path and move away.

The more lurkers maybe, they thought.

Finally, the car stopped somewhere in the middle of the jungle. The car doors opened by themselves.

There were wolf people in the jungle, the alpha was tall and braid like a truck. Others obeyed him and hurriedly caught all three of them towards the alpha.

They kept screaming in fear and resisted Abit but they had no choice in front of those strong wolves.

What are you and why have you brought us here?

He stuttered. The wolf pack laughed out loud at him or rather howled out loud.

There were she-wolves as well. Beta came close to the Dr. She hide behind Khania. 

What are you guys up to!

Thomas asked with great difficulty.

She looked at him and then towards alpha. Then took him to the pack. He reluctantly followed her.

He's the one. She announced.

Thomas asked, more afraid of the wolves now than the lurker.

The stars were shining brightly in the sky and we're visible from this open space in the jungle where trees were scarce.

Wolves started chanting something which looks like they were howling!

Suddenly the sky above turned green! Yes literally 

They got shocked again but also got mesmerized by the beauty of it.

In that green light around them. They finally saw the lurker! 

Hi! What is your good name, please?

Dr asked as if there was an introduction and exchange of goodwill going on there!

It's Gheorge!

To their surprise, he replied in a melodious make voice.

Oh wow! Nice to see you Gheorgi baby, finally. It's been really fun. Ha ha ha.

She continued pleasantly, remembering the intense drive they just had.

Yeah, sure it was. 

Gheorge looked at Thomas and he thought could he get more scared than he already had been!

The lurker float to the pack and they increased their chanting.

Dark fantasy music started around and both Khania and her Dr friend screamed again. Thomas asked frighteningly

What is the matter with you two now!

Not us you!

They pointed their finger at him unanimously

Your face has turned green!

OMG

He tried to check his face through his palms and fingers but of no use.

But we are afraid of the sun!

He started the above announcement along with the lurker in chorus!

Girls screams got louder as well as the wolf's howls.

The whole atmosphere was panoramic now!

She-wolf was reciting these verses.

Thomas could now understand every word wolf people were chanting.

Am I converting into wolves? He asked himself.

Suddenly there was a bomb-like thunder sound and then the pin-drop silence!

The girls opened their eyes and saw themselves alone outside the jungle

All three of them plus their car.

They hurriedly got in the car and drove back to the city and Khania s house.

Thomas was in a semi-conscious state but his movements were reliable.

Khania asked reluctantly.

And he moved his head in denial.

Both women took a sigh of relief.

After two days of hospitalization, he was released and went back home.

He hoped to see the lurker as well as wolf people again, very soon!
