I am allergic to dust. While dusting, if I don't cover my mouth, I start sneezing which is followed by breathlessness. We were busy packing our stuff as we were shifting to a new place. It took us roughly 3-4 days to pack everything and the house we were living in had so much storage space compared to the house we were about to move in, that we had to discard a lot of furniture and some articles. There was dust everywhere and I had a lot of trouble breathing. It  was one tiresome process!

Finally, as we were done, the day arrived for us to move into our new home. It was Dussehra, coincidently. The new house was beautiful  architecture-wise. My sister and I , we both had decided that we will take the room upstairs. That day also, my chest was paining and the smart thing to do was nebulize myself, which I didn't ! There was still a lot of work to be done in the new home.  There was only a bed in our new room, whereas my parents' room had AC as well. So that very night, my sister decided to sleep with my parents and I am not really fond of AC so I knew I will be able to sleep without one. I made myself comfortable in that room and that's when it occurred to me that my nebulizer wasn't working. Also, this new house has serious network issues. My chest pain increased  along with breathlessness.

I woke up, it was 2:00 a.m., checked my phone, replied to a friend telling him "I can't breathe." It got a bit normal, I sat on my bed, and since this was a new place, there were no curtains in  my room. Through the window of my room, I could see the balcony of the room on the opposite side. There I saw someone with a weird face and then I realized whoever it was, it was wearing a mask, but what was even more weird about that masked person was that he/she was staring directly at me, I mean at 2:30 a.m. if somebody stares at you from the balcony of their homes, then it is supposed to scare the hell out of you! I am someone who avoids watching horror flicks, because firstly, even if I don't believe in ghosts, it is very easy to scare me and secondly, I am just another cowardly person! Surprisingly that night, it didn't scare me. Rather, I started looking at it again and again trying to figure out if it was real, and then I went to the washroom and when I came back, it was gone. That morning at about 5:30, I called my dad because I was not in the condition to climb  down those stairs, and it was unreachable, I called my uncle, again unreachable. At about 6:30, my uncle came upstairs as he saw the calling notification and I told him I can't breathe.

I was rushed to the hospital and nebulized. I am not a superstitious person, and I don't have any explanation for the face I saw, I just know, I have been covering the windows in my room and now when elders tell me to be careful about festivals like Dussehra, I won't ignore them!
