Dev was listening to songs on airpods but his father was giving advice to him. Dev felt something. Dev took off the airpods and said to his father “You called me?” 

His father was disappointed. His brother was an engineer but Dev was still a jobless fellow. 

Dev went to meet his friends and was talking with them. His friends were having a job. His brother called him. His brother said “Actually, I have to go to Mysore. You know that I was planning to build a new home for us. Can you go meet the architect?” Dev asked “Why do I have to go?” His brother replied “I can’t talk with her now. Say to her that I will send money tomorrow and go to her. She will give some papers and you keep it in the house”. “Okay” He replied with a weakened voice. His brother said “I will send the address in the text message.” 

Dev said to his friends “I have to meet one person. Now I am going and then I will come back.” A friend named Shrinivas asked “Can I also come with you?” They both went.

Meghna said “Hello.” Dev said “I am the elder brother of Ananthanathan. He said that he will send money by tomorrow and you can give the papers to me.” Meghna said “Ok, wait a minute.” She gave the papers and said “I am Meghna and your name?” Dev was silent. His friend laughingly said “Om Swaminathan.” She said “Om Swaminathan?” Dev said “That is one story. My father decided to keep his father’s name as my name but when I was born, they came to know that it would be good if they keep my name starting with O and my mother said to keep my name as Om Swaminathan. I don’t like the name. So, my friends call me Dev.” She replied “Oh.” Dev went home. 

After a week, Ananthanathan was hit by some gangsters for not agreeing with a politician regarding the project. He was injured and his colleague took him to hospital. Ranganathan, Rajalaxmi and Dev went to see him. Dev asked him “Do you know who they are?” Ananthanathan was silent. 

Dev came out of the hospital and then he came to know those gangsters who hit his younger brother. 

Dev along with his 3 friends went to those gangsters but Dev and his friends were tying a handkerchief in the face. So, Gangsters can't see their faces. Dev asked his friend to stand there. Dev fought with the gangsters and they went. 

Ranganathan came to know about this. Ranganathan scolded Dev. Ranganathan said “You think that you can do anything by fighting? But the truth is no. You will fight with the gangsters and then what will happen to Ananthanathan? If you want to change society, become IAS: Indian Administrative Service. Those who control this country are civil servants, mainly IAS officers. You can’t become a civil servant just like that. Politicians change but civil servants like IAS, work till their retirement. If you want to serve the country, become an IAS officer.” 

Dev was confused for the next 2 days but on the third day, he decided to become an IAS officer. After 5 days, he started his preparation. He was working very hard to become an IAS officer. 

 He wrote the exam. He passed the prelims exam but he failed in the main exam. Then, he came to know that his hard work is not enough. He didn’t give up. He again started preparing for the UPSC exam.

 This time, he cleared the prelims and main exam. He went for the personality test. He cleared the exam and qualified for IAS. His parents felt proud of him.

And now he became an IAS officer and got a posting in a district located at Andhra Pradesh but it was very near to Tamil Nadu. 

It was a village but it had some facilities. 

Dev’s work went normal for many days but then he came to know that 8 people were kidnapped. The one who kidnaps those officers was uploading the videos in social media where the officers were being tortured. Dev contacted the police but it seemed like police were not too serious in the case. After a few days, a police officer was kidnapped and also a lawyer. 

Police officer Suresh Krishnamurthy took charge in that case. Dev talked with Suresh. Suresh was discussing with Dev. Suresh said “8 people were already kidnapped in which all were working in civil service and two more people were kidnapped recently. One is police officer Jagadeesvaran and Lawyer Lingesh. Everyone was kidnapped on Tuesday and he uploaded every video before kidnapping another person.” Dev replied “See this, first he kidnapped one person, then one person, two people, two people, one person and one person & recently two people.” Suresh replied to him “Today is Sunday.”

 On Monday, Dev took a holiday and went to his home to meet his parents. There he watched a television where a woman (Apoorva) was talking about her mother-in-law, father-in-law and her husband. She is saying that they were torturing her. Dev switched off the TV and said to himself “These cruel people” 

The next day, Dev returned. Suresh said “The next person who was kidnapped was MLA Jayakumar. When he was kidnapped, his friend Vincent Rayapa was also with him. He is severely injured and now he is in hospital. They went to the hospital. Suresh asked Vincent “You have seen him, can you recognize his face?” Vincent Rayapa replied “No, I didn’t see his face clearly because he was wearing a handkerchief in his face.” Police were very confused. Dev isn't able to do his work properly. 

On Sunday, Vincent Rayapa was kidnapped. That kidnapper still continues to upload video. On next Tuesday, no one was kidnapped. Dev became clueless. It seems like Dev is going to get transferred. When Dev returned to the house, he saw paper scribbled with red paint and he was sure that it was not blood. Dev went to sleep. He suddenly woke up when he heard some strange sound. He called Suresh and Suresh reached there but nothing was different. Even in the next week, no kidnapping happened but the media continues to criticize the Police.

The home was successfully built by Ananthanathan. So, Dev went there and he met Meghna as she was invited by Ananthanathan. 

Dev talked with Meghna. Meghna smiled and she went. Rajalaxmi asked Dev “Do you remember Nageshwar?” Dev replied “Nageshwar?” Rajalaxmi said “your friend.” Dev replied “Yeah, we play together on the ground. That time, we became friends. I think his house was 5 streets away from our oldest house where we lived for rent.” Rajalaxmi said “Yes, then his mother became my friend. You know that they moved to another place. Nageshwar had become a doctor. After that, she didn’t speak with me even if she saw me. Even if I went to her and I spoke, she didn't speak much. I have heard that now they are not living life peacefully and they have become normal. Nageshwar married a girl (Apoorva). After three months of the marriage, that girl’s father (Madhan) was asking Nageshwar to become a son-in-law who lives in wife’s house. Nageshwar disagreed and some conflict happened. That girl’s father had a lot of money and made officers work for him. As her father said, that girl even went to a news channel and gave false accusations. Kamaleswari, Vardhan and he went to jail but then they came out of the jail using bail. Both Nageshwar and that girl were ready for divorce and alimony was 2 crores. They were even ready to pay the amount but that girl’s father said that he will not let Nageshwar live happily. Nageshwar is a doctor and that girl’s father even has power to cancel Nageshwar’s doctor license. Nageshwar has to become their puppet. Kamaleswari bought a house and now this house belongs to that girl. That father’s girl will build a hospital and Nageshwar has to be the chief doctor in it. Kamaleswari and Varadan were living secretly.” Dev replied “What are you saying, ma? Oh my god!” 

Ranganathan said “Nageshwar was a nice boy. He even got an award for surgery. Don’t know why his life has become like this.” Rajalaxmi said to Dev “We don’t know much about them and we don’t have any information. We just said to you because he was once your friend. Dev went on Saturday. 

 On Sunday, ex-politician Madhan came to that place. Madhan was a politician for just five years and he said that he became a politician because his friends compelled him. Some believe that Madhan still has influence. 3 people came with Madhan because they are his bodyguards. Madhan came there to meet someone. When he was coming out from that house, an unknown person had shot him but Madhan moved. So, the bullet hit his hand. Suresh was also there. Suresh saw that man and he was chasing him. That man’s face was covered with a cloth face mask. While chasing that man, Suresh called Dev through mobile phone. Suresh informed Dev. That man disappeared. Dev was walking and a man pushed him and was running. Dev remembered that he saw a gun in that man’s pocket and Dev was sure that he was the one who tried to kill Madhan. Dev started chasing him and finally Dev caught him (Yogendra). 

Yogendra took the mask from his face. Yogendra said “You are a good person. Don’t unnecessarily get involved in this.” Dev replied “First, tell who are you?” 

Vinayak Shankar is one honest IAS officer. There are 4 years for his retirement. His son Yogendra Vinayak Shankar was preparing for UPSC. Yogendra wanted to become a civil servant. Vinayak Shankar disagreed in a 

project. The project was recommended by MLA Jayakumar. When Vinayak disagreed, Jayakumar asked his friend Vincent Rayapa to send some gangsters to threaten Vinayak. Vinayak wasn't afraid. So, next time they sent gangsters to beat Yogendra. Yogendra was safe and he managed to escape from them. Vinayak complained to a police officer Jagadeesvaran but he didn’t give attention to Vinayak. After 3 days, a case was filed against Vinayak for corruption but Vinayak was very sincere and honest. These things happened because of Madhan. Jayakumar works for Madhan. Madhan used his money, influence and power to destroy his life. Some other officers joined with Madhan and made false accusations and fake proof. Then, Lawyer Lingesh handled this case and proved that he is a criminal and the court gave punishment to him. Vinayak Shankar can't prove his innocence. He was framed as a criminal. He didn’t want to live and committed suicide. Yogendra Vinayak Shankar fell into depression but this depression turned into anger. First, he started to kidnap officers who made false accusations, then those who helped to make fake proof and he kidnapped a Police officer, MLA and Gangster. He tortured those people and found the truth. After that, Yogendra came to know the main culprit. He wasn't able to control his anger and at the same time, Madhan was coming to that place. So, he decided to take revenge by killing him but he failed.

Yogendra said “Actually I thought you were not a good officer and so I followed you but then I came to know you are a good person.” Suddenly, Yogendra disappeared. 

Dev met Suresh and said “I think he was not a criminal. He was affected.” Suresh got a call. After ending the call, Suresh said “I got transferred to another place.” Dev replied “What!” “Ok, bye.” said Suresh. Dev was totally shocked. 

Dev found out about Nageshwar and went to Chennai to meet him. Dev entered the house. The house has CCTV cameras. Dev said “Nageshwar, I am Dev. Do you remember me? Sorry, I am Swaminathan.” “Sorry, I don’t know you” Nageshwar replied and went but he sighed at him before going. Dev saw Madhan entering the house when he was going out. 

Next day, Dev went to Apoorva Hospital and got an appointment with Doctor Nageshwar. Dev said “I am Om Swaminathan. We played together in our childhood. Seriously, you don’t remember me?” Nageshwar replied “you must have seen a man entering the house, he is my wife Apoorva’s father Madhan and he is so dangerous.” Dev said “I have heard about you and it is not good to speak about this.” “Swaminathan or Dev, but you are a good person. You have a nice life. At Least you live a happy life.” Dev saw news and he came to know that Madhan’s factory was raided by the Income Tax Department. The Income Tax raid was done by Balram Naidu & his team but they were not successful. Now, Dev knew about the details of the villain in this story. 

Yogendra uploaded a video in which one corrupted officer was giving a statement and next day another video. 

Dev came to know that even Balram’s life was affected by the villain. Madhan sent some people to search for the person (Yogendra) and even Dev started to search for him. 

Balram got a voice message. Then, Balram & his team conducted a raid and found 9.5 crores which were illegally earned by the villain. 

Nageshwar came to a cafe. A man (Yogendra) was sitting near him. Yogendra was leaving but he forgot his mobile phone and Nageshwar gave that phone to Yogendra. Actually, Nageshwar was there to meet Dev. When Dev was entering the cafe, Yogendra was coming out but they didn’t see each other. 

Dev was collecting evidence against Madhan. The information had reached Madhan. Madhan thought Dev was Yogendra. When Dev was going to Andhra, he was kidnapped by some goons sent by Madhan. Now, this has become news. Police had become very serious in this issue. Dev was not afraid even when he was beaten by those goons. Those goons took Dev to one place to another to escape from the police. Rajalaxmi was very afraid. Another IAS officer tried to negotiate with those. Finally, the police rescued Dev but those goons escaped.

Dev came home and took the rest. Meghna came to see him. 

Madhan is father-in-law of Nageshwar who destroyed half of his life. He was the reason for the death of Vinayak Shankar. Balram’s life is even affected by Madhan. The gangsters who hit Ananthanathan were also sent by Madhan and Dev was kidnapped because of Madhan. Dev came to know the main villain Madhan. 

Balram & his team again raided one of the places belonging to Madhan. Madhan was angry.

Meghna’s one brother was a lawyer named Narendra Kumar Prasad. Dev contacted him to file a case against Madhan. Madhan had a lawyer who is the top lawyer in Tamil Nadu. Case was filed to prove that Vinayak Shankar & Nageshwar were innocent. Madhan’s lawyer argued that Vinayak was not even alive and accused Dev & Naren of filing a case against Madhan to become popular. 

Yogendra secretly came and met Dev. Dev asked Yogendra to be a team but Yogendra left without answering. 

Madhan called Balram to meet. Madhan asked “What do you want? How much do you need?” A conversation happened between them. The case was still going on. Dev got a video in which the corrupted officers were giving false accusations and Naren got a post in which some fake evidence was showing that Madhan is the culprit. Court ordered the police to keep Madhan in jail till the next hearing. Yogendra was helping. Balram again conducted another raid. Madhan’s corruption was attracted by the media. Balram submitted an audio clip in which Madhan tried to give a bribe. Madhan came out on bail. The political allies of Madhan were escaping and acting like they didn't know him. Those who helped Madhan in crimes were arrested by the police team headed by Suresh.

Madhan’s original character was revealed. Madhan started living secretly. The court gave a verdict that Vinayak Shankar IAS and Dr.Nageshwar are innocent. Those who were kidnapped by Yogendra came to the court and they were punished. 

Dev at his home was talking with his parents. Ranganathan said “First, I thought I mistakenly kept my father’s name as your name but you are also good like him. He is neither an IAS nor educated but he has a big heart. He always tried to help people and now you are an honest and good civil servant. Now, I am proud to say that you are my son. I can proudly say that I am your father.” 

Police arrested many criminals but they were still searching for Madhan. People didn’t trust the police. 

Meghna saw Dev and called him “Dev.” He replied “Meghna, my name is Om Swaminathan.” 

A protest happened to punish injustice and save justice. It was headed by Swaminathan and assisted by Meghna, his parents, Ananthanathan, Suresh, Balram, Naren & some civil servants. Later, many civilians also joined them. A civilian said “Not only civil servants, everyone should be honest. We will save justice.” A person said “No one can change this world or the country but only if we the people come together. The people don’t know their true power and it is in unity. VANDE MATARAM. Naren replied “SATYAMEVA JAYATE.” Balram said “DHARMO RAKSHATI RAKSHITAH.” “JAI HIND!” said Suresh. Police reached there and calmly asked people to move from there and police promised that they would definitely catch Madhan in a few hours. Police got information that Madhan and his daughter were now hiding in their house.

Madhan was eating. Madhan said to his daughter Apoorva “When you do something bad. It comes back to you later. Karma will pay you back.” Yogendra was secretly coming out from that house by the back side and he put a small bottle in the garbage. Apoorva doesn't want to live anymore. Apoorva with confusion and sadness jumped from the height. Madhan took a gun and shot himself. The police reached there. They saw that Apoorva was still alive. So, those few took her to hospital but in the way she died. Police found that the villain was dead. 

 Later, it was revealed to the audience that Yogendra mixed poison in the food eaten by Madhan. 

The protest ended peacefully and soon. All the people went to their homes. When Swaminathan went to his home, he saw a paper in which it was written “Thank You Comrade.” He smiled.

Naren became a famous lawyer. Suresh got a promotion. Balram was near to his retirement. Yogendra was in Uttarakhand. Nageshwar built a hospital and was giving good treatment to the people. Ananthanathan was continuing his engineering work. Meghna was doing her work. Rajalaxmi and Rangnathan living their life peacefully. Om Swaminathan serves his country and people.
