TEXT VERSE 1 - Luke 10:18 : And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from Heaven.

Christ our Lord was in Heaven when He saw our Father cast out of Heaven the rebelling Angel whom we know as Satan. In this verse, it is recorded how fast Christ our Lord said Satan traveled when he left Heaven. Even though Satan is a fallen angel, this still states how fast an Angel can travel.

i. Walking is the slowest mode of transportation of human beings.

ii. An automobile is a faster mode of transportation than walking.

iii. Traveling in an airplane is faster than an automobile.

iv. Traveling in a spaceship is faster than an airplane.

But none of these modes of traveling for human beings are as fast as the speed of lightning. So, the Angels have the ability to travel much faster than human beings, and they do not have to have some type of vehicle for travel.

There is also a thought of encouragement here

According to 1 Corinthians 15:1-52, at the end of this age associated with the second return of Christ our Lord to planet earth, there will be a moment for some born again Christians that their physical bodies in the grave will be changed into spiritual bodies, go up into the heavens to be united with the saints, who used to be in physical bodies, and be with Christ our Lord. Holy Spirit had it stated that this will take place in the twinkling of an eye. It means that a resurrected body will go from the grave to the heavenlies with the speed that Angels travel.

It also means that when a born again Christian leaves his physical body at the time of physical death, he will travel to Heaven with the speed that Angels travel. But right now, Angels are different than us in this matter. They travel much faster.

TEXT VERSE 6 - Isaiah 6:2 : Above it stood the Seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

Though there are many more scriptures that mention Angels without saying anything about wings than scriptures that report Angels that have wings, this is one of the scriptures stating that Angels have wings. As I have reported before, Angels do not use any wings when they travel, but they extend or spread their wings when they worship. This may not be a real important factor, but it is one of the differences human beings have with Angels because we humans do not have any wings growing from our bodies. If we are to be totally as the Angels when we get to Heaven, we MAY (you still need more information in this area, so keep coming and reading about Angels) have wings in Heaven.

TEXT VERSE 7 - 1 Chronicles 21:16 : And David lift up his eyes, and saw the angel of the Lord stand between (the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their faces.

Most often it is best to give some background of a scripture that is being used, but I do not think it is really necessary in this case. If you are interested, I would encourage you to take a little time and read the context of the verse. King David and the elders of Israel were in a time of fasting in sackcloth and ashes. King David looked up and saw this very huge Angel.

Most of the Angels are the size of an average human being, but some could go up to about seventy feet tall. To me, this TEXT VERSE 7 is a description of a very tall Angel. I realize that the Angel was standing close to King David, but when King David looked up towards the sky, evidently he could not see the top of the Angel.

Now note that the Angel reached out his hand holding a sword that was large enough to cover the entire city. If I understand this description, the Angel that King David saw that day was very huge and tall. The tallest human being to have ever seen walking on planet earth was not any more than seven feet tall. When I try to give a brotherly love hug to a person six feet four or five inches tall, my head usually ends up on the tall man's chest, I wonder if King David would have hugged the Angel that day, if his head had come up to perhaps to an ankle or knee of the Angel.

A side thought

Angels do like to hug and you do not even have to worry about the gender factor.

What do you think? Are all angels male or are some of them female?

Remember, gender is a biological function and angels are not biological. Read this and many more mysteries about Angels in the coming short episodes.
