Help! Get Me Out Of Here!

My exciting and fun-filled boating day ended disastrously when I woke up alone, washed up on a deserted island. I had a trip with my mates on a cruise. The trip went smoothly at first. Who knew that there was a dangerous hurricane lurking nearby? During the hurricane, I survived. However, I was knocked unconscious and was washed ashore on a deserted island.

   The first thing I had to find was water. There were no pools of water around, so I drank from clamshells. For shelter, I hid in a hollow tree, hoping to be safe. It took me hours to find food and light up a fire. I whooped with joy when the fire was lit up. The meal was scrumptious as it was my first time to cook. I saw seagulls looking for rotten fish, and I heard cawing from the trees. Weed tangled on my feet, so I could barely walk. I wanted to catch a fish, but the seawater went into my mouth and it tasted disgusting. The rotten fish was stinky. It made me gag. 

   

I learned that if I was busy, I would not worry much, so I kept myself busy. However, when I took a break, I felt homesick and missed baby Maudie.

   

I made SOS signs every day in Morse code with my handy torch and mirror. At last, a plane found me and brought me back to my house. It was the most hair-raising adventure ever. After all this adventure, I am exhausted. I guess I am going to bed, and you should too! Sweet dreams.
