Halters' Scepter- The Heir

                                                            Introduction

In the magical world, lived a very powerful family of Halters. They were cruel, contemptuous and merciless. Their territory was huge. Every ruler was shocked that the Halters never lost a single battle. How was is it possible? Well, everything is possible with magic. The Halters had a magical scepter, known as the Halters' scepter, which they used in the battles. They also used the scepters to decide the next heir. But how the procedure was? The scepter belongs to the one who sits on the throne, that is, a king or a queen. When they had to choose the next heir, they sent the scepter to the Velesla Mountains. Then the children of the Halters would go up on the mountains in search of the scepter. Whosever found it first was declared as the future king or queen. This system was followed for a few decades. Somehow, the scepter changed its place and no one now how it happened. The scepter is lost, and nothing can be done. Now, the process of deciding the next king or queen had to be changed. Several meetings took place, and many solutions were given. At last, they concluded that the eldest child in the family will be the next king or queen. 

                                                             Chapter One

                                                              The Heir

In the kingdom of Navania, King Cameron Halter and Queen Emma Halter were ruling. They had four children- Justin Halter, the eldest child, Janine Halter, Second child and Jessica and Jennifer Halter, the twins. On night, the family was in the dining hall doing dinner. King Cameron said, "I've something very important to announce. I want everyone to know that our next heir is going to be Prince Justin Halter. Many many congratulations from my side." Hearing this, Janine couldn't believe what she just now heard. She stood up and said, "Father, why him?" "Because he is the eldest child. Moreover, the scepter is lost, so we can't use it to decide the future king or queen." Janine was so upset with this decision and left the dining hall. 

Later in the evening, she went to her mother's chamber and confronted to her. "Mom, I don't think Justin is the right person for ruling Navania. If he becomes a king, we'll suffer a huge loss, that's for sure." "Dear Janine, you heard what your father said, the eldest kid in the family will be the king or queen." "But that's so unfair. I should be the future queen cuz' I'm capable and knows all the royal duties. But Justin he is weak and intolerant and a mere puppet." "There's nothing I can do, Janine. You've to accept the fact, that he'll become the king in the future." Janine stormed out of the room. Justin, who was listening the conversation said, "Bumour, for you Janine. You can't sit on the throne." "Oh, please, I'm not going to give up so easily. You wait and watch." "As you say baby sis." 

Janine was raging with anger and straight went to her bedroom. Claudia said, "Why're you so upset Janine?" "I just learned that Justin is going to be the future king." "What! Shouldn't you be the queen. If he rules Navania, then we are definitely doomed." "I know, I know. What should I do Claudia?" "Just do what you usually do, come up with a plan." 

Claudia was Janine's cat robot friend. She and Janine are very close and Janine shares everything with Claudia. They know each other since Janine was 3. Janine knows that whatever happens, Claudia will surely help her. Janine also listens to Claudia's advice and suggestions. Moreover, she just gave one- To come up with a plan. "That's it" Janine jumps in excitement. "I got it and I know who'll help me"
