Forever?

Ritika is an unmarried attorney in Delhi City. After too many drinks on her 30th birthday, Ritika wakes up in bed with Dev, who is engaged to her best friend, Shruti. Ritika and Dev discuss how they have had crushes on each other since law school. Ritika initially believes the encounter is a one night stand, but it eventually develops into an ongoing affair with her continuously lying to Shruti and others in order to sleep with Dev and be there for him. Ritika lies to Shruti that she is having affair with two other men, but confides in their mutual friend Karan and acquaintance Mohit. Karan, who has been friends with Ritika and acquaintance to Shruti reluctantly agrees to play along with  Ritika's lies.

Dev's mother suffers from depression and it seems that Dev and Shruti 's upcoming wedding is the only thing keeping her happy. Months after they started having affair behind Shruti 's back, they skip out on Shruti 's weekend in the Goa to stay in the city.  The two run into his parents, and Dev's father later tells Dev to end it as soon as  possible, saying that what he wants should not be considered a priority when it conflicts  with what is right, and that they’re not that kind of people, meaning he stuck by Dev’s  mom with her troubles so Dev should not abandon Shruti and humiliate her so close to  the wedding.

As the wedding nears, Dev and Ritika are speaking less and less. At the beach, their secret is almost revealed by Karan, who is frustrated with Ritika for lying to people she cares about. That night at the bar, Ritika finally tells Dev that she wants him to call off the wedding so they can be together, but he tells her that he can't.

After Karan moves to London for a job, Ritika goes to visit him. He reveals that he loves her but accepts that Ritika does not reciprocate his feelings. Ritika returns to Delhi and finds Dev sitting on her doorstep. He reveals that he called off the wedding. Ritika is ecstatic until Shruti arrives to talk. Dev quickly hides and overhears as Shruti reveals that she has been cheating with Mohit during the time that Dev was cheating with Ritika. Shruti is pregnant with Mohit's child and she says that they are very happy. 

Shruti notices Dev's jacket and begins to search the apartment for him. When Dev reveals himself, Shruti finally understands that her best friend is the other woman. Two months later, Ritika and Shruti run into each other on the street. Shruti feigns excitement about her pregnancy and shares that this is the happiest she has ever been. 

When Shruti notices that Ritika has picked up one of Dev's shirts from the dry cleaner, she realizes they are still together. Ritika walks around the corner to Dev sitting on a 

bench. Shruti shows up to surprise Karan in London; Karan tries to ignore her and briskly walks away.
