No one was allowed to enter that area. The whole third floor was demarcated with no entry signboards. The elevator was set to pass the third floor without stopping.

The guest from room 306 of hotel Paradise was found to be harboring the dreaded virus that had taken the world by storm.

Irrespective of the presence of symptoms, everyone entering the city was being tested for the virus. They were also supposed to fill in a questionnaire to help the authorities decide whether they needed to be quarantined till the time of their test reports.

Hotel Paradise was the quarantine center of the city.

Everyone kept their finger crossed. Knowing perfectly that it was a matter of days when the case would be identified.

So far all the results were negative till the results of the Robin, the guest from room number 306 came out.

This was the first case of the city.

Immediately, a team of healthcare workers was on their toes.

An isolation area has already been demarcated by the administration. Robin was masked and instantly shifted to that area.

A team of housekeeping staff assigned and trained for the terminal disinfection of such area was on task to disinfect the said area.

Though the mock drills were done to practice the course of action in case a positive case was found. Still, as soon as the words were out about the positive results, there was a total hurry-scurry in the hotel.

All those who had come into the contact with Robin were needed to be quarantined to stop the further spread.

All those who have served for the Robin in any form had already been quarantined.

As a contingency plan, the staff from one floor wasn't allowed to mix with other floors' staff. It was easier to identify who might have come in the contact with the Robin.

Only if Shayla hadn't broken the rule.

Only if she hadn't sneaked out in the dark of the night to meet her boyfriend.

Only if her desire hadn't overpowered her integrity.

Only if Myra had denied helping her but how could she? The previous night it was Myra's baby‘s birthday and she wanted to surprise him. Shyla had fill in for her for two hours. She owed her this much.

Only if many of us like Myra and Shyla have been more responsible and helped the administration to contain the infection, the story would have been entirely different!!
