Five Wild Foxes
Five Wild Foxes
Once there were heavy rains with thunderstorms in a forest. Water started accumulating everywhere. Soon the forest was flooded with water.
There were five wild Foxes living there. They jumped into action and saved many animals from the flood.
After some days the rains stopped and the floodwater subsided. The Lion was the king of the jungle. He called a meeting and said that the five Foxes had done a commendable job. He offered them to stay with him in his den and dine together for a week.
Everyone applauded. However, there was one rabbit who went to the king and said that he heard the five foxes saying that they would save the animals from drowning so that they could eat them later.
The king Lion because furious upon hearing this. He ordered the five foxes to leave the forest and go elsewhere.
The moral of this story is that the good deeds done with a selfish intention are not worthy of praise.
