First Love Letter

About two months had passed until our engagement. It was an arranged marriage and we both were doing professional courses in different cities.

We used to talk on phone but most of the time it was formal talk only and no romantic or say love you, love you talk.

One day I received a letter from her. I thought this must be to wish me luck for exams as they were around the corner but when I opened the letter it was more than that. This was a very emotional letter full of love in which she described how she first prepared herself to write all this and it took two hours to just start the letter.

This is what she wrote ''You must be thinking why I don't talk much especially about our relationship or about love. Actually I am a very shy girl having lots and lots of emotions and love inside but don't know how to express it''.

She also wrote how she started liking and loving me from the first day my family had gone to see her. How she started having me in her dreams often and talking for hours which she could not do on phone and also discussed how she was thinking of our life after marriage. She wrote about her love for nature especially flowers and asked me if I could cover the bed with rose petals on the first day of our marriage.

She wrote so many things all laced with love. She wrote a poem describing our love as the love of two lovebirds. I was just surprised to read all this in one letter and in the end, she did not write her name but there were lip marks of lipstick. I put my lips on those lips and so had my first kiss.

After this letter, more and more letters were exchanged and it became a routine but as your first love or kiss is always special, this letter holds a very special place in my memories.
