Faithful fearlesss ferrocious - Tevi.

Please note to start with, this particular story is mostly imaginary, although it has some element of actual fact, as the inherent truth & rest is written out of my own imagination.

However let me furnish some relevant basis to such imaginations.

Tevi   is my favourite dog, a female dog, as normal people call it as a ‘bitch’.  She is extremely faithful, extraordinarily strong, much fearless, although a pet domesticated dog. 

The idea, rather the inspiration towards the concept of writing this story is my granddaughter. Her father, i.e. my son, who is working & living in Texas, USA and lives there with his wife and this little girl. In fact they recently have got a female dog and that is the source of inspiration towards writing for this story based on this dog. She is called ‘Tara’. She is an extreme pet member to all the three permanent members in their house, in addition to that my wife, her grannie too, who visits them once every year for a few months at a stretch, has created a tremendous liking for this dog, i.e., Tara.  In fact due to a continued request from these two members, mainly the little girl and her grannie, decided to write this story as a matter of answering their continued constant request.

Thus let me dedicate this story to my granddaughter and her grannie too

ACTUAL DIARY  OF OVERALL INCIDENTS  :-

So now let us start the main story to commence.

Location   :-  KAZAKHSTAN , a country originally one of the USSR countries, now CIS.

Time         :-    Start of Summer, i.e., after the month of March, beginning of April 2021.

Persons   :-    Several to be indoctrinated or introduced afterwards, as the story keeps    moving. 

The main kingpin of the story is a simple person of Indian origin, in the name of Mr Jitesh Srivastava. He is a professional engineer, and his discipline is Exploration Geo- Physics. He is appointed from some reputed British Multi-national company in the name of Rio Minto Zinc, whose Headquarters is in London, England, where he is employed at present. He has come on to a secret mission here, of course with the permission of the local Government. He is the second-in-command at this camp, in fact this is just a glorified camp, for all such people working here. The first is available in the London Office.

Jitesh comes off a low middle class family located in some village near Gorakhpur in UP. After completing his graduation course in Engineering from some University in India, he came to England with some scholarship to pursue his higher studies in his subject. He has completed the Master’s degree with high mark and later decided to complete the Doctorate degree from the same University too in England. However the official grant was only for two years and since he could not manage to fund the requirement of enormous tuition fee as per the local rule for higher studies, that is applicable to all students of foreign origin, he had to abandon his hope of further qualification for the present. Then he joined a South African Company at their London Office & worked with them for a couple of years. Later he noticed the opportunities available with Rio Minto Zinc, a giant Multi National Co, with its H Q at London and applied for a suitable job and got it too. He immediately joined and after a few successful years he was posted at Kazakhstan as the Camp in-charge. He meanwhile got the British Citizenship too.

To furnish some interesting data in respect of this country of Kazakhstan, please note according to some estimates, Kazakhstan has the second largest stock of uranium, chromium, lead, and zinc reserves. It is the third largest producer of manganese in the whole world as of date. It is also having the fifth largest copper reserves; and ranks in the top ten for coal, iron, and gold. It is, another point of interest, an exporter of diamonds too.

SOCIO – GEOGRAPHIC DETAILS  :-

Kazakhstan is one of the most ethnically and religiously diverse nations, owing to not only its history and nomadic culture, but also its geography, situated in between the major world religions. Kazakhstan is the ninth-largest country in the world, covering some 2.7 million square kilometres. Kazakhstan is bordered by Russia to the north, the Caspian Sea to the south-west, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic to the south, and China to the east. The border between Russia and Kazakhstan is the longest continuous land border in the world (7512.8 kilometres).

India in fact was one of the first few initial countries to recognize the independence of Kazakhstan. Diplomatic relations were established with India in February 1992. The Embassy of India was opened in Almaty in May 1992 and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in New Delhi in 1993. However the capital of Kazakhstan was later shifted from Almaty to Astana in 1997.

Since Kazakhstan is an ex-republic of the erstwhile Soviet Union, i.e., USSR, the overall influence of Russia & language of Russian is emphatically prevalent all over.

So, let us get back to the main stream of story again.

It was one fine afternoon, Jitesh was just loitering over some nearby ruins near his Camp and since he did not have any such official work pending at all at his desk, he was just aimlessly loitering like that. Of course he had his revolver, for fear of wild animals, with permission of the local Authorities. There is in fact no shortage of wild animals at such places, which are so far away from the normal urban human habitations. There were no shortage of varieties of birds, tiny reptiles like, lizards, chameleon, scorpions, larger animals like fox, jackals and similar tiny such creatures all round. Suddenly he got startled after hearing some extraordinary sound as if ‘kui kui’, not loud enough, although reasonably soft & audible too. He became too curious. So tracking the sound, with caution he silently proceeded and later discovered the originator is a little puppy near him. Noticing the presence of a human nearby, the puppy got energised and somehow managed to come near him at last. At last it came next to him and started licking his shoes and trousers, looking at him with eagerness, as if it is asking for help. Jitesh got interested in this little animal and with proper caution, picked her up, put in a jute bag, which normally is always with him. Later, after a while, he decided to return to his residence camp with the puppy too. 

The residence of such professional persons is a series of some sort of a modified tents, which are made of large strong terrapin huts, although with all reasonable proper facilities or amenities like overhead line towards transmission of power, toilets, bed, writing table, chair, laptop with proper internet connections, air conditioners and several similar gadgets. A large common kitchen is there to cater to such lots of people, although the food served to them in the common dining hall, does neither have much of a variety, nor much of choice. That is, they have a team of cooks, eight in number together with over a dozen helpers, comprising male and female, who often go to the nearby town twice or thrice a week, in order to bring all food grains, groceries and other proper edibles in order to make all of them survive until the next shopping date. Jitesh is a reasonable senior person, so one of the woman cook quickly comes to ask if she can offer tea to him. Jitesh in response agreed and later asked her if she could get him some milk too in a bowl in addition to that. She was surprised, though agreed to obey that with a smile. Soon came the bowl of milk and to the utter surprise of so many of his existing camp-dwellers, he took out in the open yard the little puppy out from the bag and later took it near the milk bowl. The puppy was indeed too hungry and with a grateful look at Jitesh, went near the bowl and finished it quickly too. Some of his colleagues then asked for another bowl full of milk and the puppy finished that too. After finishing the second lot, it just shifted the place, indicating that it is full. It went straight to Jitesh and started licking him in the same fashion. Jitesh took it within the camp and placed him at a corner of the floor mattress, since so many others started peeping through the entry door. Some were too curious and started asking him about the source too. 

SOME DETAILS OF THE CAMP AND CAMP MATES :-

In the Camp there are another fifty-five professional persons, like him working for this MNC, all of them together for the same mission.  Out of this lot, thirty nine of them are married couples. They live with their individual families, out of which some are with their kids as well. Jitesh is unmarried since. There is only one large kitchen with modern amenities and it is just common for all of them, with an adjacent reasonable large kitchen store-room. In addition, there are few cooks (as already written), several drivers for several jeeps – cum - land rovers & three mini buses, a team of drivers for heavy earth moving machines & hard surface drills, eight security guards with loaded weapons, six helpers, another ten miscellaneous labourers, two IT professionals with a powerful server and reasonable essential gadgets for maintaining constant communication facilities. In addition there are a team of five well experienced nurses, inclusive of a Doctor too with a mini medical treatment room, reasonably equipped with all medical gadgets and having reasonable stock of essential as well as for emergency treatment medicines. There is a tiny helicopter too with them in Camp.

Jitesh, to quench their eagerness, explained in brief as to where from did he pick it up and some of them expressed utter surprise as to how come a puppy can exist in an arid horrible place like this. However the presence of a puppy just eventually became a constant paly mate to most of the kids in this camp too. Most of them at their leisure hours play a lot with Tevi and she apparently enjoys it immensely too. Most of the kids amidst such play do offer her some edibles and Tevi merrily noshes all of those and surprising matter is that then she  just behaves as if she deserves further. To the kids it is a source of great entertainment. However the wolf instinct within Tevi keeps working constantly & always and as a result of which very often while playing with the kids, it suddenly stops and starts smelling hard with nose upwards like a wolf, then makes a typical wolf style barking sound, fairly audible and loud too for all who are in the camp area. This is so typical for a wolf, that people, who are amongst them, who are somewhat familiar with the characteristic of a wolf, can well recognise this interesting aspect of their barking.

However in this fashion a few months have so far crossed. Tevi has since grown to a much larger & bigger size wise, although her human playmates are there her constant companion during most of the afternoons. Tevi is unable to realise, why do not they come during the day for playing at all. That is why with extreme eagerness, she awaits the commencement of each of the afternoons and interestingly much before most of their playmates assemble, she is present there. Often it is Jitesh and his fellow colleagues join the game. Even some girls or ladies are there in such get-together.

One day amidst some such item of games, Tevi suddenly comes back to her animal sense and in less than a second, after sounding a viral loud barking hooter like sound, started smelling for something non-standard, she just vanishes from the common courtyard, where most of the people & the kids are still assembling in the leisure hours of the afternoon and guessing as to what she was after ! She just runs out of the place at a great speed. In fact during the last few months, she has become reasonably familiar, not only with the overall geography of their actual place of camping residence, but also all the surrounding areas for a few hundred meters inclusive of rough terrains to a good extent. There is a pool that is nearby their camping area and it is a source of several aquatic animals, mostly fish of course. She very often keeps waiting there with great patience to watch these with great interest. She often gets a catch too, although too rare.

She runs to the pool area and after a few minutes returns to the camping courtyard later. Most surprising is that now she has caught hold of a snake, biting tight with her jaws near its head. Jitesh and other elders quickly ran for helping her. Oh dear ! One of the kitchen helpers recognised it as a Caspian Cobra. It is a very poisonous snake. It is in fact one of the most venomous snakes in the whole of Central Asia. Jitesh got a pair of hard metallic clamps, meanwhile one of his colleagues in the crowd got a snake catcher from the room, by which he clamped the snake close to its head. The snake meanwhile started wrangling Tevi’s body althrough, with its tail all-round i.e., with several spirals.  So first thing Jitesh did is to clamp the head of the snake tight and started unwinding the spirals from her body quickly with the help of that helper and others. In a few seconds Tevi was made free and she was too tired, she went a little away to take some rest. All the kids went near her, but did not dare to disturb her. Jitesh and others meanwhile got a jute bag and kept it, i.e., the snake in the jute container, in order for despatching it the next morning to the relevant Govt. office in the nearest town for doing their needful. This jute bag of course has reasonable holes, through which lots of air can pass it. 

Then they all came near Tevi. Jitesh calls for the Doctor and one of the nurses. All of them are well familiar with Tevi. Either of them started examining her intricately and later came to the conclusion that the snake did not, rather could not bite her, since she was holding it near its head. However due to tight wrangling action from it, which continued for several minutes, she has become somewhat weaker. So after consulting in between them for a while, they decided to give her a tiny injection to combat any probable problems that possibly might still have occurred and told Jitesh as to what to do. Jitesh immediately permitted them to do whatever they consider perfect. After pushing the injection, which took just a few seconds, they took another mild tranquiliser tablet, mixed with milk and made her drink it. Tevi drank it fast and then slowly she fell asleep. Either of the Doctor and the Nurse felt it is OK and told that hopefully she will be back to normal next morning. The afternoon games of all the kids came to an abrupt end due to such a sudden uncomfortable interruption and it could not thus re-start again with the same momentum due to such an awful unprecedented incident.

However one point was there noticeable out of such an incident. An old labourer, who is a sincere local Kazakh, told, rather strongly cautioned that it is very probable that another snake is nearby and very likely it will think of striking us.  For that it is waiting for an opportune moment. Most of the local people agreed to such a statement. That is an alarming advice. Jitesh and all others quickly asked all the kids to stop the games and get back to a safe place within their residence camps. All were asked to keep the entire camps well sealed and put on all the lights fully illuminated in the open yard such that even movement of a mouse is noticeable to them. One of their drivers, who is also a  local Kazakh just put a little bait in order to catch it, trapped it in a mouse trap and just kept it near the main entrance gate.

The available list is far too large and it is difficult to segregate as to which items of the lot we will keep here and who to temporarily delete. However as per the local Kazakh employees, the following is a comparable and viable list too.

So the main task to Jitesh as well as all the Senior Officials is the aspect of Security for all, prima – facie all the kids who just keep playing in the open yards as well as the nearby and adjoining areas.

He remembers that one of his friends once told him something, which are much too relevant here.  

If snakes seem to always find their way into your yard, the method keep them away with carbolic acid and products of ammonia. Snakes hate the smell and won't come near it. Soak rags in ammonia and place them in unsealed plastic bags. Leave the plastic bags all-round the camping areas, where you usually see the snakes, and they won't come back to the place again.

Jitesh thus consulted within themselves and instructed his colleagues to get all such things and spread it all round the camping place as fast as possible.

Coming back to the main stream of the story again, as already written, this country ranks among the world's leading countries in its reserves of chromite, wolfram, lead, zinc, manganese, silver and uranium. It also has significant reserves of bauxite, copper, gold, iron ore, coal, natural gas and petroleum. Another most significant item is Uranium, since its traces are located by several agencies. 

Kazakhstan is a remarkable country that boasts of a rich and diverse wildlife. Its unique geography, consisting of steppes, deserts, mountains, and forests, provides a wide range of habitats for a multitude of animal species. From the rare Saiga antelope to the majestic snow leopard, Kazakhstan offers an incredible opportunity to observe and appreciate the wonders of its wildlife.

The Eurasian brown bear, lynx, and glittered gazelle are among the other fascinating animals that inhabit Kazakhstan. These species adapt to various environments, showcasing the country’s biodiversity and unique ecosystems.

Coming back to the main story so far, meanwhile a message came from the Headquarters of Company of Rio Minto Zinc, asking Jitesh to come over to London Office for a couple of days for some too crucial discussions. He was asked to come with an Assistant. The point is Jitesh, being the in-charge of the unit, fell in distress. That is, his next, i.e. his Deputy Supervisor, Andrew Jenkins is sick and as per the unit’s Doctor, he is strictly advised to be in bed rest for a week or so. The obvious choice is to take the next person in Command, who happens here to be a woman. Thus Jitesh straightway intimated this to his boss Edward Linkway as to what should he do here. Edward, who is commonly called as Ted, immediately advised him to take the girl to their London Office and that too at once. So Jitesh asked her, i.e., Elena Ostrovich to come over and with her discussed the entire matter. Then they just arranged for their joint programme. Just the next morning, they came to Astana, the Capital of Kazakhstan and from there they got the direct flight to London. Their Head office is near Liverpool Street station in London. So the best resource to reach there fast is to take the underground tube to reach there. After changing one tube, they finally came over to Liverpool Street, came to the open street and in a few minutes from then, they reached the H.Q. of Rio Minto Zinc. The Receptionist girl was familiar with Jitesh and thus she quickly intimated this to Ted. In another two to three minutes Ted came in with his broad smile and embraced either of them, in fact it was he, who took the interview of Elena’s and eventually selected her too. He then took either of them to a mini Conference Room, which is indeed a secret chamber in the floor. After reaching there, Ted made a phone call to some other colleagues of his and in the next two minutes a team of four persons, inclusive of two girls came in. The door was closed, after they all came in. The mini-conference immediately started.

At this point let us introduce Elena a little. She is originally from Ukraine, since her father who was a teacher in Physics decided to migrate to England a few decades ago from Kiev, in Ukraine and got a suitable job in a place called Norwich in England. Later he married an English girl in the name of Elisabeth and they have two children. The elder is a girl called Elena and then she has a brother in the name of Elvin. Elena later also got qualified in Exploration Geophysics from the famous University in Uxbridge, near London in England. She was initially working as an Assistant to some local Institution and recently after getting a job from Rio Minto Zinc, she came over to the camp as her initial posting,  

She is fond of animals and in fact, when Jitesh brought Tevi a few months ago, it was Elena, who nurtured her a lot. As a result of this Tevi is too fond of her too and likes her next to Jitesh. Tevi spends most of her idle hours relaxing within Jitesh’s camp and of late she started spending such leisure hours at Elena’s camp too. That is not disturbing to Elena at all, instead she loves this little Tevi and bye and large it is accepted that if Tevi is not at Jites’s camp, she will perhaps be with Elena’s. Tevi & Elena are friendly as compared to the rest of camp dwellers.

Resuming the original stream of the incidents. Ted introduced the matter in a different mode.                                           

A recent aerial survey was conducted by their team over some air-space in Kazakhstan, with the permission of the local Govt and interestingly a location of vast Uranium deposit was located in the North East Corner of the country, which indeed happens to be too close to Jitesh’s camp. The documents from the recordings of the Geiger counter was also brought and placed over the table for open discussions. This is too secret. Secrecy is mainly maintained, if the Russian Intelligence are aware of it, it is very probable that by hook or by crook, they will attempt to conquer this area and take hold of the entire stock of the Uranium. Who can confirm whether this is going to end up as a second Ukraine !  The matter is thus too serious and secret. The meeting was interrupted due to the lunch hour. Mr Harold Wilkinson, the M D of their Company later joined them after the lunch and advised as to what to do and what modalities to be adopted by Jitesh and all the members in his team. Prima-facie the main activities of the exploration is to be organised from this camp and since Jitesh is the in-charge, it is indeed solely his entire responsibility to organise to have it managed in a proper manner. 

However, much to the ignorance of all, the Russian Intelligence unit, in the name of KGB was already aware of it too. It was disclosed to all of them, much too later.

Harold also explained that they are thinking of adding some new faces, i.e., new people in the team for assisting Jitesh in this huge mammoth overload at his unit. They had already, started their selection process since a few weeks ago and since made up their mind to employ two new candidates as selected for their new assignment. Either of them are girls, although fairly qualified, experienced & hopefully suitable too. Their names are as below :-

Harold called either of the girls, as these girls were also invited to come here, to get ready, prepared to start for the camp at once. They came & Harold introduced them to Jitesh and Elena. After a short introduction – cum - discussion, Harold just left the Conference room advising, rather reminding all of them in respect of the word of caution to each of them in clear words. He in fact already briefed these two girls as regards what to do, how to do and when to do. In a nutshell. He has also explained as regards ‘Do’s and Don’ts’s’ to either of them. However he clearly mentioned that the overall boss at this camp here is Jitesh.

So what a new chapter of work that they will have to get involved with. Jitesh started thinking. That too, the most radio-active item on the earth, i.e., lots of Uranium 235 & also of Uranium 237. That is fine, although the pain in the neck is that the Russian Intelligence unit KGB is already after it too. The biggest task are four folds. The first is to locate the exact source of this Uranium, isolate the location totally so as to make it inaccessible to the local people, to extract it in an approved manner and finally to keep it secret from the claws of KGB too. The overall task is a Herculean task & since the Company Management has entrusted this serious workload over to him, assuming that he is the most capable & sensible person too, he has to complete it. 

The meeting was over and just at that moment, the Receptionist girl walked in and with a smile she asked Jitesh to spare a few minutes with her. After a few minutes Jitesh returned together with that girl. She announced that the return flight is booked since in the name of all four persons, i.e. three girls and Jitesh tomorrow morning and the flight is around 10.00 AM, from Heathrow. Also she announced that instead of spending a few hundred pounds for hotel bills, why not all of them stay at this Company’s own in-house rest house, located just up here in the top floor, The point to note is that just disadvantage is that only one room is still unoccupied, it is like a well maintained dormitory with all amenities for men and women. It is up to Jitesh to please decide as what to do !  Elena jumped up at it. She agreed to have a glance at the room to start with. A little later she came down and announced that next to this dormitory there is another tiny room, a room just barely suitable for one person, as it has just enough space available one single bed in the room together with an attached toilet too. If it is OK with Jitesh, he can occupy it, i.e., stay in this room, next to room for these girls 

Meanwhile back at the Camp, it was Tevi was all left alone, although there were lots of other people & all the children to play with her in the afternoon. Of course she was too dedicated as a loyal dog to Jitesh and then it was to Elena, she is somewhat bored of doing nothing in their temporary absence. In fact at the moment of their journey towards London, either of Jitesh and Elena had patted her a lot and explained her  (of course in human language) that they will be away for a couple of days out of the camp, perhaps she followed it. In fact whenever Jitesh goes out for work, she comes near him and when Jitesh returns, she jumps and runs to give her a worm welcome reception too. She does it even for Elena too. In fact that is her daily routine.  

The old Kazak person, who is a cook, is also sympathetic to Tevi and he is looking after this, so called lonely animal, feeds him with her favourite food always, Tevi is also fond of him too. He is aware as to what are Tevi’s favourite foods, not only the standard dog food, in addition to it, he prepares some special food without any oil, fats or any spice at all. He gets some special beef item from the local shops and mixes with bread and other ingredients for which Tevi is also fond of this old man too. Tevi is otherwise well fond of him too. Tevi has one standard solo game during the whole working hours at the camp, as virtually the entire work force have gone out to work away from the Camp. She plays with the squirrels who keep jumping at the trees, the bunnies, who keep peeping out of their holes, rats or mice. However under normal circumstances she does not bite any one at all, i.e. does no harm to these innocent creatures at all, except she is just merciless towards the snakes. The place is well infested with various types of venomous & also non-venomous snakes & meanwhile he has caught hold of several species of each. She just is not willing to accept this animal at all.

Now let us again come back and resume to the episode at Rio Minto’s Head Quarters in London. Incidentally Elena was always inclined towards Jitesh, a little bit more than just as a simple junior colleague. She had developed a little bit of fancy towards him althrough and it is something that Jitesh was well aware of it too. Perhaps that was the reason for which Jitesh would hesitate, whereas on the contrary it was Elena was keen to capitalise it. She thus went up with the Receptionist girl and came down in a few minutes to certify that the room is perfect for all of us. It has two well-maintained too decent toilets attached to the room. So she looked at Jitesh, as if asking for his concurrence and after waiting for a minute or so, picked up her luggage at ease, asked those two new entrant girls to follow her with their own respective luggage. Their luggage were with the Receptionist girl and after picking those up, all of them went for the top floor together with Elena. Jitesh was left all alone with the Receptionist girl. Afterwards, a couple of minutes later, he also picked up his suitcase & left for the top floor room at this rest house.

Jitesh was aware of the room in rest house top floor well in advance. In fact he had stayed earlier in several instances at this rest house, although never had the pleasure or misfortune to stay in such a room, that is next to the dormitory & that too which is going to be occupied with three girls. Well there is nothing much to do now, since it is already in the afternoon late hour and sooner or later the office will be just closed for the day, except some big bosses will be working late hour. So, Jitesh decided to stay in that tiny room. All these girls, after checking in at the rest house just requested Jitesh to take them to some Pub for a drink. 

This is a thick congested Commercial area and plenty of good or ordinary pubs are also available too in abundance to cater to the demands of the working public. To Elena it is nothing new, since she was born in England and is familiar with the pub culture too, up to a reasonable manner. Most of these pubs in all these areas are capable to cater to requirement of varieties of food and of course a wider varieties of drinks. So is Jitesh familiar to this Pub culture too. So he decided to take them to some nearby Pub where he normally makes a visit.

As soon as he enters, the Pub Manager notices him and welcomes him. Although he was curious as to who those girls are, as per the British etiquettes, he didn’t express much of undue curiosity at all. He imagined that must be one of them is his girlfriend and two other are either her or his friends or so. Whatever it is, he asked Jitesh whether he could serve his patent drink, i.e., a glass of Gin, Lime and soda ! Jitesh agreed to it. Then with all due politeness and a broad smile, he asked these girls as to what will they like to have here please ! Surprisng ! All three unanimously replied as Vodka with soda and ice. The person agreed with a broader smile. Meanwhile Jitesh in consultation with them decided as to which food they will ask for munching here or instead will they go elsewhere for food, once the drinks are over ! However all three decided to have the food served there itself and will like to enjoy with the drinks. OK, Jitesh thus agreed, as there was apparently no other choice & requested the Manager for serving the food of their choice.

Jesus ! Each of these girls can drink like a fish ! Just on an average each of these three girls comfortably consumed three large pegs of this strong liquor at ease. When they were about to ask for the next, i.e., the fourth round, it was Jitesh had to intercept, as if he wanted to put a stoppage to such drinking festive. Meanwhile each of them started consuming the food too at a simultaneous speed at ease.

At about nine O’clock, Jitesh decided to call it a day and thus politely asked them to get up. Oh dear ! That is, so much of strong alcohol had meanwhile started its toxic effects to each of these girls in a normal manner and its effect was too noticeable from their interesting reckless unbalanced movements, while walking out of the Pub too. The Pub Manager, at the request from Jitesh, agreed to assist them to get dropped at their Office main entrance door in his own car, since he was aware as to where his office is. He did so. So after entering through the main entrance door, they walked up to the lift and after reaching the top floor, all of them entered the dormitory room. Although Jitesh was then supposed to leave them and wanted to occupy the next adjacent single room, he could not leave them just like that. That is so, since he was holding Elena and Tina in a tight manner, whereas Kalamkas, the other girl was holding him tight too from the rear. In other words all these three inebriate girls somehow just managed to enter the room, totally unbalanced, just with his assistance. These girls were so much drunk and pissed, that none of these girls had the minimum sense of decency as to what they are doing. Their chastity belt apparently got far too loose. They just in the name of changing clothes, just ignoring the presence of their boss, who is a proper gentleman, stated taking off all their clothes, i.e., started undressing one after the other, even in his presence. Each of them at first unfastened their overcoats to take it off, then one after the other took off their normal formal dress, i.e., gown or similar items, unbuttoned their bra and took it off together with their knickers too – all in presence of Jitesh, although none of them were even able to keep standing alone for even a single minute. In fact as if they were althrough swinging. They were so much drunk it appears. In fact each of them were just swinging out of toxic effect.

That is to write, thus all of them got totally nude, in a shameless manner. Then they started hugging, kissing amongst themselves, in such a fashion, that it is just not possible to explain. In fact they started some sort of dancing while rubbing their naked bodies, rather their open tits against each other, kissing each other and singing some song, perhaps in rural Russian language. Incidentally, either of these two new girls are well conversant with their own local dialect language, English as well as Russian. Similarly so was with Elena, since she was reasonably familiar with Russian language too, being of Ukrainian origin. This musical and dancing extravanza could have continued, had that not been interrupted due to Jitesh. In less than a minute, Elena just came over too close to Jitesh to embrace and started madly kissing him, telling as to how much she loves him. Noticing this, other two girls also started kissing Jitesh all over his face. Jitesh in utter distress then noticed that it is crossing the decency limits far too much and thus just by applying force, he managed to get them, rather throw each of them in their respective beds. Another surprising point, is that although there were two beds of double bed size, with the idea that two can share one bed, while the third person will have the other bed, all three of them just went, rather somehow crawled in the same bed and managed to pull the large king size blanket over them & then fell fast asleep instantaneously. Jitesh afterwards left the room, pulled the door & went to the tiny little room allotted to him for the day’s rest. What an evening it was !

He went to the washing room and got horrified to notice, what on earth these girls have done to his face. Due to their emotional erratic & inebriate kissing activities, the entire face is looking like that of a clown in a circus with so many lip stick marks & impressions. So first thing to do was, he had to wash and clean all these lip stick marks, then change his dress & relax at the bed. Tomorrow they will have to reach Heathrow anyhow before nine, although the Receptionist girl has dome their web checking. However like his normal routine, he quickly makes a mental programme always, as to what are his assignment targets for the next day, i.e., tomorrow.  

The next morning, well before eight he is absolutely ready to come out of his room & knocks at the Dormitory door and Elena answers to open it. Oh Dear ! All these three pretty girls are just totally ready, forgetting everything whatever they created last evening. They are just equally ready to start for the journey towards the Camp. Each of them are looking much too presentable, i.e., each of them are reasonably tall, slim, fair, with a very presentable figure & extremely attractive too. Although Jitesh is also of fair complexion as compared to normal Indian standard, Elena is of a white skin European origin & rest of the two girls are much fairer as per Jitesh. 

In such a journey, however, always the most significant items are the tickets, passport and money. Then will come other items, i.e., the luggage. The girls are apparently aware of it and ready with all these in their individual vanity bags. Since two of them are citizens of the Old Russian Federation, i.e., erstwhile USSR, they do not require any visa at all. Jitesh and Elena are British citizens, so they do not require any visa either. The combined ticket for all four is with Jitesh and a copy is with Elena too. So after check-in was over, they decided to have a bit of quick snacks at the Heathrow cafeteria in the same floor too.

So all four of them went to the Corner Cafeteria and soon came the waitress. She is a girl of Indian origin and smiled at Jitesh to start with. Jitesh returned the smile with due politeness and exchanged a few words of normal courtesy with her. Meanwhile Elena co-ordinated with other two girls & placed the request for food to the waitress. When the food came, sipping over a cup of tea, all three girls just started apologising for whatever they did the previous evening, although none of them perhaps do not remember as to what they actually did. In fact they went even that far to hold him in person, asking for pardoning them, from Jitesh. Jitesh agreed & accepted this with a smile. They promised that they will do it never again. 

The flight was reasonably as per the schedule. It took over six hours to reach Astana and after a short drive for over a couple of hours, they had reached the camp. It was already late evening. Time-wise the clock at Astana is four hours ahead of London’s clock. Jitesh meanwhile left a message at the Camp, to keep the guest room ready to be occupied by these two new girls, as proper arrangement can be done the next morning as appropriate. The most interesting thing is that Tevi was very much alert and awake and as soon as the car with Jitesh arrived, she just jumped & rushed forward to greet him with a loud ‘Welcome’. She indeed did that to Jitesh and Elena. When she saw Tina, she just wagged her tail as if accepting, however her approach towards Kalamkas was far too mysterious, since she was apparently not happy at all. Jitesh and Elena noticed that too with surprise. They thought that perhaps due to some animal instinct she is displeased with Kalamkas and hopefully it will get minimised within a few days or so. 

However they were far from getting the truth, i.e., the actual fact. Instead Tevi was just the right animal to smell, as if something is wrong, something fishy is there with this girl. In fact, all of them came to gather it far later that she is a KGB spy, but in disguise, a fact that none of them were at all aware of it as of then and surprisingly none even at their London Office were too aware of it. In fact KGB with all their local influence & contact applied and managed to get her appointed at the Camp office through the London H.Q. in a proper official fashion too. It was only Tevi with her super-sharp animal instinct, had smelt it right & expressed her initial suspicion towards her.

The next morning was just like any other working day for most, except these two new girls. Jitesh introduced them to the rest of the mass & explained to all of them to assist them too. He took them to each and every corner of the camp, explained the intricate item of all activities and methodologies for achieving their overall objective in this game. Meanwhile Andrew Jenkins has recovered to a reasonable extent, although not so far fit enough to join Jitesh in his new venture, of which Jitesh is making a programme. He was consulting with Andrew and Elena as to what to do & how to achieve it, in respect of the new horizon of super mammoth task, which is just entrusted to him from the Corporate H.Q. One thing is that Jitesh did not involve those two new girls so quickly in this new episode. Let them first of all get acclimatised in this new environment, interesting work culture, movement at so much of inaccessible areas which indeed always involve great risk and require extreme tenacity to start with.

At the large dining table, which is located in one corner of the Camp, normally all food items are served under normal circumstances, where most of the senior officials join in order to enjoy food together. That happens during morning hour for snacks, mid-day for lunch & also evening for dinner too. The food served are mostly of the European type as well as of local Kazakh. Jitesh is the only Indian amidst the entire crowd, although he is gladly accepting & enjoying European food, most of which are tasteless. However the good item is that it is hygienic and does not disrupt or harm the digestive system, as compared to a standard Indian food, that is so rich with so much of oil and fat, might do. Tevi as a matter of practice always comes during the morning hour and waits with patience at the floor next to Jitesh. He sits at one end of the table. Next to Jitesh at the right sits Elena & left is earmarked for Andrew Jenkins. Most of them do not eat the yoke from the eggs served, just for fear of increasing cholesterol and all the yoke from the eggs go to Tevi. She is so glad to gulp and consume all of it with much pleasure, in addition to left over pieces of bacon or sausages too.

In this way the morning snacks chapter mostly get going in the camp as a matter of standard routine. Tevi is always there & gets her share of the yoke as on daily basis in addition the what the old Kazakh, who prepares for him something from beef with cereals. After the morning snacks are over, most of the people will go the respective work locations, the children will go to the school in the allotted buses, leaving Tevi just all alone in the Camp. She often joins the children in those buses and had gone all that far to the school, although she is not certain, whether she should enter the schools as the children do. So much to her disliking, she decides to have returned to the camp in the same bus too. All bus drivers like her a lot and thus they are eager to take her for a lift, rather a pleasure trip like this. 

A few days have passed. Those two new girls are getting slowly and gradually indoctrinated in the interesting work culture of the Camp and like all others, they also do come over to Jitesh so often for consultation and his advice. Tina, of the two girls, is comparatively swifter in approach for comprehension and can grasp all things faster than Kalamkas, whereas Kalamkas is fast in writing reports and preparing presentable charts & essential tables for reference. Each of them has some qualities of their own, as it appears. Somehow Kalamkas has a lot of questions for Jitesh and she keeps this volley of her questions well-rehearsed prior to Jitesh’s return. It is apparently a daily routine of theirs. Jitesh is deliberately refraining to take them to the field so quick, as he feels that it is not the right time to indoctrinate them to the tough field activities so fast. They should at first get to realise the prime objective, as to what such a large group of people are doing here in the North East corner of Kazakhstan since last several months.

The prime objective towards identifying the exact spot for location of Uranium is something they are about to start. This is in fact three of them, i.e., Jitesh, Andrew and Elena were just discussing within themselves. Meanwhile a quick aerial survey was already done by them just a few days ago, comprising a short team of all these three, plus some actual ground explorers, earth moving machines in-charge and similar staff in their in-house helicopter. The actual area is apparently far too inaccessible, although it is located within the geographic terrain of this country, but the point is that it is alarmingly near the Russian border too. So whatever they are to do, do it with extreme caution and secrecy too. That is so, since the fear of the nuisance from the Russian Intelligence, i.e., KGB is still always haunting them. Somehow Jitesh did not like to make too much hue and cry as regards Uranium exploration within the rest of the team mates in the Camp, as rumours spread much faster than actual message – an axiom applicable to all places, all over the World even as of date.

A few days have just gone too since then. These two new girls are reasonably acclimatized perhaps in this new surroundings, i.e., with such non-standard work culture at their Camp. One such fine morning, when most of the working class people have gone to the field, the children too have gone to their schools as per their daily routine, Kalamkas enters Jitesh’s tent. His tent is his office too. This tent is somewhat larger in size and it accommodates also some reasonable space for maintaining his mini office, with a table for a mini-conference, comprising six chairs. In addition to that a couple of cupboards, overhead racks and filing cabinets are there too. All of these are packed with papers, charts, photographs, similar items, reference manuals, catalogues and drawings. She was in search of something secret, for which she too silently came over to her boss’s room in search of that precious staff secretly as if stealing, like a thief. In fact Tina was neither aware of it too. Kalamkas was all alone & just kept searching something within the cabinets, opening the files one after the other but all she was doing quickly too. She was so engrossed with her secret work, which apparently made her forget of all other surrounding entities. 

Suddenly with horror she noticed that it was Tevi, who was sitting near the door, coolly just watching her with immense anger. Some mild growling sound was too audible from her. This is sufficient a signal for her to withdraw from this secret venture for the present. Although she wanted to close the chapter so fast, she surprisingly made no mistake and put all the papers in a neat and clean fashion, as if nothing has happened there since. She quickly left the place, with a mild patting over to Tevi. She started thinking that if she has to achieve this objective, first of all, she has to make friends with Tevi, otherwise to enter Jitesh’s tent, with her invigilation is something next to impossible. So best is to take her in the group, in other words bribe her a lot. To bribe an animal, the best method is to offer good delicious food of her choice. So the next few days got involved for her to start data collection, i.e. collecting facts from old Kazakh man in the kitchen. It is easy as she can speak in their home dialect. She thus collected reasonable data as regards what she prefers to eat, how & when – like that. Hopefully she will start applying slowly and gradually the overall ideas so far gathered over to Tevi, in order to achieve her objective. For obvious reasons, except the old Kazakh cook, no other person got at all suspicious of such strange activities of Kalamkas at all, not even Tina too, although they are sharing the same tent from the starting evening until date.

As a matter of routine practice, Jitesh goes out for some walk during the afternoon hours in the week end since last several months.

Jitesh had a habit of going out for a promenade each week end afternoon together with Tevi and of late it is Elena has started joining him in this walking exercise too. From the local nearby town, Jitesh has recently brought a nice golden buckles and stuck it around Tevi’s neck, for giving her a presentable & respectable appearance in the public. In addition to that he brought also a large lead of leather like soft PVC plastic, having two loops at the other end of it.  This PVC lead is of four meters and it has a thin stainless steel chord throughout. So whenever Jitesh goes out in the afternoon promenade, he takes Tevi, with her buckles fastened to the lead, of which one loop is either with him or with Elena. Another point is that he, as a matter of practice, never forgets to take his revolver to take with him. Often they too stroll over a mile in the wild like this chatting within themselves. However faithful Tevi is their constant vigil bodyguard at this afternoon venture of theirs. In this mode a lot of tiny but interesting & frightening things have happened to either of them. For instance, Elena once picked a piece of tiny rock like substance, although which is glittering a lot. Jitesh examined it and certifies it as ‘Diamond’. Indeed so it was. Elena went to the town and a Jeweller also confirmed it. She immediately made an ornament inclusive of that. All incidents, however, are never so good. A few days ago, a large scorpion, coming out of the cave, was about to attack her, although due to Tevi’s barking, she got saved too. Tevi jumped at it later. In addition to these a lot of snakes, chameleon and several other different types of insects are constantly encircling the area, as if, this is their zone, this is their domain and none of them does not like intruders at all. Life here is never as smooth, just compared to that of a normal town life. Returning to the base Camp, Jitesh always gives Tevi one of her lovely presents, i.e. her most favourite delicious food, i.e., beef jerky, which Jitesh has got in a lot for her.However life otherwise at the Camp was just all the same. Jitesh together with Andrew and Elena are chalking out a programme for a detailed aerial survey of the actual spot and one fine morning, as programmed, they took out their total kits inclusive of a camera, measuring gadgets, surveying gadgets - comprising a theodolite, compass, plain table, marking boxes, mini-laptop & similar all other tits bits for their programme. Just as they are about to start in their helicopter, Tevi from nowhere appeared in the scene, as if she has come running all the way, as if she wants to join this mission too. She straightway just jumped in the helicopter. Although Jitesh was about to ask Tevi to get down, for some reasons, Elena prevented him from doing so. She expressed as if what is the harm, if she joins, after all she is an item of security of the team, to some extent. In the team were another two persons, one is a chain hauler and the other is a draftswoman for quick drawing of sketches of available data. Her name is Judith. She is a fair good artist too, as she can prepare quick presentable sketches of so many things. In her tent, they are a total of four girls, all of whom are working for the overall Camp, with Jitesh as the boss. This tent is indeed infested with, rather decorated with so many different sketches, pictures, landscapes & portrait pictures – interesting to watch it. All these are just drawn or painted by Judith. She does it as a matter of pastime. She is a spinster girl from Romania and she goes home once in six months. Tevi is fond of her too. So in a nutshell, the team comprises five humans and Tevi inclusive of the pilot. Jitesh has just explained in too secret manner, overall objective of their mission to all these persons.     

In about less than an hour, the pilot announced that they are just hovering above the actual spot and asked ‘OK’ from Jitesh, whether he should attempt to land somewhere here, that is conducive to the passengers ! All started peeping downwards in order to have a glance and notice the area as to how is it ! Jesus ! The terrain is too rough, although the aircraft can land at one spot and with boss’s concurrence, so did the pilot too. It is just near a hill and the cliff is so close, although the aircraft is just at a valley, which neither is so sloppy nor flat either. So let us get down, announced Jitesh.  However disembarking from the aircraft was not at all achievable so easily, since Tevi did not allow them to do so. In her animal signal, she asked all of them not to do so. Her language was somehow well perceivable to Jitesh and Elena, although they were wondering as to what possibly could be the reason. The reason got clear in a minute or so. Tevi then jumped out & just near a tiny adjacent cave near the hill top, she started barking far too loud. A large abnormal roaring hissing sound was audible from within the cave & in a few moments a large Asiatic python just came out of the cave in wild anger. This is, it is clear to all of them, as to why Tevi was asking them, rather refraining them from alighting at first. So it was far too clear to all of them and all of them felt so grateful to Tevi & expressed gratitude for this. Jitesh took out his revolver, although did not fire it, since the large snake started wriggling away from that place slowly like a Queen, in a zigzag fashion, as if what is the hurry for that ! Perhaps the snake could not identify as to what sort of an animal that odd shaped helicopter is, since it is something new to her, although well familiar with the large dog and the barking from such animals. It indeed has the habit of swallowing several of such animals, even larger - like the Wolves too.  All in the team in fact realised the significance of the animal instinct of Tevi’s, which had saved them all from an unavoidable imminent catastrophic disastrous danger. What a large size of snake, its head is over 10 “dia and the overall body is also of at least 8” dia. However after the snake had left this cave far too down the valley, with Tevi’s wagging of the tail, they realised that it is the green signal for them to get down here. So all of them disembarked at this spot. A grace from Omnipotence, it indeed was, that they are all OK so far !

In spite of the initial hassle like this, all of them took a while to adjust to such uncomfortable possibilities, the actual work slowly got started. Keeping Tevi for a constant vigil, Jitesh, Andrew and Elena started marking precise location of the spot in the ground with the help from the map of the overall area. Judith, was also in the team listening to them. She immediately took out some strong fluorescent ground indelible marker, in order at first to make a noticeable mark of reference for future identification, then started taking photographs of the area from different corners. After collecting all those info, she extrapolated all such data neatly in a professional manner, in one large sheet in order for starting some drawing acceptable to their H.Q. She, in addition to making such drawings, started making suitable several sketches of the available areas too. All others were assisting her to the extent required for her. So some work is getting thus done, although not still up to the point of proper satisfaction as per Jitesh and Andrew. Either of them felt that the actual location for the precious metal is far below the surface level and much underneath. So they feel, to get a feel of the requirement, first of all, top crust of the overburden is to be removed by way of excavation, then digging down the ground, although none are certain how far below the crust it is. However some idea of the quantum & qualities are so far obtained meanwhile. So the only way left is to start excavating this area with the permission of H.Q., who in turn will approach the local Govt. for their concurrence. Meanwhile whatever is so far achieved, photographs are to be prepared & then sent to London. Thus several pictures were then made by them in a serial fashion for onward transmission to the London office, that too if possible today itself. There is still two hours left for the day & if they can reach before 6.00 O’clock, the drawings can be sent immediately then. However preparation and serial-wise marking the drawings will take an hour as per Judith. So let us return & complete this task from our office, but with due secrecy all over. So did all of them, i.e., return to the base Camp.

Meanwhile at the Camp, all the children have assembled and started their games, although they were surprised as to where is their constant companion, i.e., Tevi ! Thus immediately the aircraft lands in the Camp’s arena, Tevi, as if totally ignoring as to whatever happened since morning, just jumps out of it & rushes to her friends to resume all her curriculum of afternoon games. All the other children felt so happy and glad noticing him re-joining them. 

Meanwhile all others came to the main office room. They immediately started making real proper report as well as drawings to be transmitted together with that. Jitesh called several other colleagues in Consultation with Andrew, inclusive of Tina & Kalamkas and in a nutshell discussed the entire anecdote to all of them. The message was sent to H.Q. at around 8.00 PM,  that is at London it is just 4.00 PM. Prompt came the response message from Ted too confirming the receipt of all the pages, with a word of gratitude. It has further instructions for Jitesh & Andrew. So they decided to make another trip at same location with same lot of the colleagues. And they did so, although Tevi was dropped out from this second trip.

Next morning, it was Kalamkas, who silently went to Jitesh’s tent in search of the total documentation.  In front of all, Jitesh took the entire lot of report and drawings, as sent to London, in his tent. He wanted to give it to Andrew, although Andrew excused himself of it, since he has two children. Elena gave a cock & bull story to escape the responsibility also. Kalamkas thus got an access to it and started quickly photographing all these. She in fact had virtually done her secret job, although could not complete it. Reason is, suddenly she heard an abnormal hissing sound and tracing the source, she was horrified to notice that a large cobra was aiming to strike her. It has since climbed over the table & is just two meters away from her, simply oscillating in an inverted manner, just before striking. At that very nick of the moment, even before she could scream, as if like an Angel, jumps in Tevi in the scene, straight makes a big jump towards the snake, just catches over it hard without mistake near its mouth and then with a  summersault falls over at the carpeted floor with it, to roll away further. With its impact Kalamkas fell too. Her mobile got shattered, in which she was photocopying. This created a bit of noise and some others came in & started shouting after noticing. Tevi did not loosen her jaws so far, until someone from the stores got a proper snake catcher to catch hold of the snake out of her mouth. Meanwhile the snake also started strangling her a lot with its immense power. The old Kazak man from the kitchen identified, it is the second one, i.e., Caspian Cobra, awaiting its revenge. However nobody intimated of it to Jitesh, until he returned in the evening. So many of the Camp mates, inclusive of Tina - all later asked Kalamkas as to why was she doing there, what for did she enter Jitesh’s tent, but she did not respond to it at all. However Jitesh, after returning to the Camp, got the message .

In the evening urgent message was received from H.Q. asking Jitesh to come to HQ, immediately together with Kalamkas. So did they next morning & after reaching the HQ., their MD, Harold, in presence of Ted and others, told Jitesh secretly that Kalamkas is an official KGB agent. Instead of sacking her direct, she was however transferred to Germiston Office in South Africa. The next morning, Kalamkas came to the office to submit her resignation from the Company and that was anticipated too by all. It was officially accepted at the office and Jitesh intimated of it to Andrew and Elena at the Camp too. 

Jitesh narrated them the entire incident of Tevi’s first interaction with Kalamkas until what happened just the recent morning. Harold with a smile accepted it and told that all are just ‘His blessings’. It is God has blessed Kalamkas to escape the dangerous bite of the snake, and the Camp also got His blessings, since the valuable documents were saved from such espionage, as ‘God is good to all’.
