It beckoned me to see its contents. Each time I ignored it. It looked as flat as empty and ergo I let it go each time it came into view.

Hanging on the sole nail on my wall, it was hard not to go unnoticed. I remember having hung it there on an impulse thinking it might come in handy maybe.

That day was my exam and I was nervous enough to spare a glance around leaving alone the bag. I paced around in my house quickly revising whatever I could at the last hour.

My restlessness was evident to my family members and they let me be. All except the bag which came in view in each of my laps of my wandering around in my house.

I could have easily spared the nail of the bag but that day I did not feel like disturbing it as if I did not want to lose attention in doing so.

I got ready on time and was preparing to leave home for my exam when again the bag showed itself to me. I silently muttered curses as I got distracted by its presence.

I gulped down my apprehension, bent down to wear my shoes and as I raised my head, the bag loomed large over me. I could not take it any longer and in anger, I lifted the bag off the nail. I heard a silent rustle of something dropping to the floor.

Lo! Out came my hall ticket; my ticket to the exam; my ticket to my career; my ticket to my livelihood.

I hastily picked up the hall ticket and then thanking the bag profusely for having saved my day and my life, I left for my exam.

The bag will not hold for a long time but my baggage of memories of the day will.
