The waitress walked over and whispered in my ear, " You have to leave. Your life's in danger". I immediately dashed out and ran like there was no tomorrow, only there was - a dark, dangerous, and a fatal next day. This happened 48 hours ago. In this time span, I've been close to death twice, had my house burnt down, lost everything and everyone I ever cared for, and regretted ever agreeing to this. But why am I so melancholic and enveloped with the terrible idea of revenge? For this, I'll have to go back three years. I was an affable fourteen-year-old. Ate enough food to feel hungry and had enough sleep to feel hungry. I had a wonderful life until that unfortunate night. The night that changed everything. Like any other Thursday, I was returning home after my guitar lessons, humming a tune and kicking a pebble down the road. After about ten minutes I saw a black limousine parked right in the middle of the road. Well, this was unusual. I lived in a small town and a car this expensive was just never seen before. Being the curious teen I was, I went to check it out. But before I could take a peep inside, something hard hit my head and all I saw next was black.

I woke up to find myself chained to a pipe. The smell and the water everywhere were enough for me to know where I was - The Sterry Sewers. An underground sewer long known for being the hub of notorious criminals. What was I doing here? Before I could look around a little more, my view was blocked by a burly figure. It belonged to about a six-foot-three, strong woman who emanated pure evil. "Who are you? Why were you around the limo? What did you see?" she shot these questions at me all the while sounding like a snake. " I'm just a nobody, I didn't see, didn't hear, or do anything. Please let me go." I replied shakily. Then she laughed, the most malicious one I'd ever heard. " Hmm.....let's see, I'll let you go only if you will do me and my pals a favor" she hissed pointing at two other towering women who had suddenly materialized. I was starting to really hate this lady. " Okay tell me what it is.

But first, tell me who you are " I tremblingly said. I wish I hadn't. I also didn't expect whatever happened next. She planted a blow on my face hard enough to knock me to the ground, undid the chains on my arms, and held me up by the scruff of my neck, " You think it's funny, don't you? Well, you're upright WRONG lass! You are going to deliver this package without any questions. If you care about your stupid dog and brother, you'll do that NOW." Wait, how did she know that I had a brother? These people were to be taken a lot more seriously than they seemed. I nodded frantically and said "Yes". How I could kick myself in the guts for doing that, but what other choice did I have? I delivered the package they were talking about and that's where it all began - in that dark part of Sterry Sewers. It's been three years now and I've been delivering similar packages at different locations in different countries, without knowing who I'm working for or what I'm delivering, or what they did with the packages. I was afraid they would hurt my brother and my dog. I got instructions over the phone and do what I'm told. At least I did until a week ago.

I was tired of this life. Working with sketchy people with shady packages. I didn't know what I was doing or why I was doing what I did! So I hatched an elaborate escape plan. Subsequently a week ago, when I was required to drop off the package at an island I made up my mind to escape right then. I jumped off the boat I was traveling in and swam for hours to finally reach ashore. I immediately jumped into new clothes and found a shelter home. I changed the way I looked. I couldn't trust anybody. I lived in the shelter home for three days and on the fourth after making sure no one was following me, went around to find a job. I found a cafe and asked around. I finally secured the job as a janitor. I came to work the next day after finishing setting up my tent in an empty space not far away. I was prepared to do anything to forget about the past three years of my life. That is when the waitress approached me. Now I'm still on the run, my life at stake and without a single penny. All I can do now is wait and just be prepared for something that I don't know, in fact never knew from the beginning.
