Cont...Mike and a shadow

Mike was walking by an old street...playing music in his earphone, moving his body to the tunes of music. No idea of what is gonna happen next... 

Suddenly in the dark side of the street a hand came in & pulled him. Dragging him inside the old building. No idea who the hell was it. He tried to look behind but due to darkness he could'nt see the face.

Finally he heard a suspenseful voice.... 'Hey Mike... I know what you did the other day'

Curiously Mike said...'What are you talking about man! I don't know anything you talking bout '

The voice whispered 'No need to act in front of me, I can help you'

Mike thought this as a game of Police to get confession and repeated the same sentence.

The voice finally showed its face. Mike saw...a 19 year old in a hoodie, standing below a yellow light bulb, wearing square black glasses...a light beard and as tall as 6'2.

Mike said 'Who are you? I don't know what you're talking about. Just let me go ok.....whatever it is you have mistaken'

He said 'I know about the second copy of the artefact. I know the original is with you. I am a thief too... a lot smarter than you are'

Mike ' Don't you understand me? You got the wrong man. I am....'

Boy raised his voice...'Stop talking...listen to me...I am Ed. I am not with Police, no need to hide the con. I know about you because the person from whom you got made the second copy is me. I never introduce myself to others but I know who you are. You were not as good as me for the first robbery but i am impressed. I want...'

Mike interrupted 'Dude...stop it. I haven't done anything what are you talking about. Just leave me.'

Ed: 'What if I told you the real artefact that you have....o sorry the real one you had... yes I said you had because you no longer you have it....I took it. Dont act smart.... if I want I can give that piece to Police and prove it was you. But I am not gonna do so. Wanna know why? '

After a pause he continued 'I am doing things on my own for quite some time now and yeah I want a partner, that's why I am here. I don't enjoy the thrill when I am out there doing a robbery as opposed to you. Why don't I be your mastermind since you are bad at it and you be my Tom cruise. I just enjoy planning, it brings out best in me and love to do it more. I could literally guarantee you won't be caught. If you want you can walk through that door right now I wont stop you. I said what I wanted to....if you are really interested you know where to find me.'

Mike in shock just staring at him

Ed 'O and you have until midnight or you won't get to see that artefact again.'

Mike just blinked and closed his eyes for 2 seconds as his eyes were burning as he hadn't blinked since long. He opened his eyes and Ed vanished.

Mike ran towards the artefact and guess what...he found nothing..... All that was there was just nothing. 

He thought a lot..... his instincts wanted to believe him but his brain was more leaning towards a trap set by Police.

Finally he thought.. even if it was Police...since he no longer has the artefact and nothing can be proved even if he approached Ed...he can just explain himself that he wanted to know Ed, help him and stop him doing anything wrong... even if Police pressed charges.... he is just 17 proving no theory.... he wont be doing time. He can even pass a lie detector as he really does not have the artefact...incase it happened. Mike just was overthinking now....and decided.

He actually got hold of Ed and shook hands. No words needed here. About what happened next ...well wait until the next story is up.....
