It was their first marriage anniversary; they have planned for an outing. Sudha was eagerly waiting for her better part. She completed all her official works and reached home by 5: 00 PM.

She prepared, the Kesari, with her secret ingredient love.

Sudha and Murthy were childhood friends.

They grew together, and they didn’t have any secrets between them.

After the tiring day in the office, She was refreshing herself, to make herself presentable to Murthy on an auspicious day.

She heard his bike, but she was getting dressed in her marriage sari to remind him indirectly.

There was a ring at the door.

Sudha opens the door Murthy’s face got red and filled with anger.

Murthy: How long, should I wait at the door, what were you doing?

Sudha smiled at him by giving a hint.

Murthy threw his bag, on the sofa, and sat down.

Sudha gave him the Kesari and coffee.

Murthy was in no mood to have them, he sipped the coffee and started shouting at Sudha there is no sugar in it.

Sudha tried to control her emotions, but not for long. She shouted back at him.

Without further inquiry, Murthy went out to have a coffee, without consoling Sudha, who was in tears.

Murthy was a hardworking IT professional. For years he was working on a mission-critical project.

A lot of criticism, a lot of hurdles in terms of people and technology he faced all these years.

Nothing could stop him from delivering the project on time.

He expected an onsite, but it got rejected on lame excuses.

Murthy and Sudha were running behind loan payment, they worked hard to secure the future.

Murthy was not interested in a 9:00 to 5:00 job; he was more of a creative type. Due to family situations, he had to choose that path. But the corporate was able to pull the dark side of him.

He was angry at himself, but he expressed it on Sudha. The soul, who left her family for him.

One can express the anger, only to the person, who understands them.

Sudha, as well as anticipated the same from him.

Murthy got into the nearby Cafe Day and ordered his favorite cafe.

It was raining, heavily and there was no network coverage, he tasted his coffee, in his lost world and glanced through the window.

People were taking a break, from their hectic life under the covers.

He watched two kids dancing in the rain.

Suddenly the girl pushed him, and the boy fell.

There was a quarrel between them.

The boy ignored her, but the girl kept following him, by seeking heartfelt sorry.

The boy couldn’t feed his anger for longer, as the girl was so cute not just in appearance, but in her innocent as well.

Her curly hair, cute dimple, sweet character, and innocence defeated his anger.

Within a minute both started to play together, she whispered at him, he dragged his pocket and found few notes of currency. He asked her to take guard, and he ran toward the ice cream wale.

He got her the choco bar ice-cream.

He didn’t have enough money, did have the heart to love her by scarifying his needs and temptation.

They shared the ice cream and enjoyed the rain, by contending.

Murthy got lost in cute kids, and he got awaked in a heated discussion as the rain was pouring.

She: Don’t raise your voice, Narayan! I don’t want to lose you.

He: Please, try to understand, Priya!

It is not time to get married. We have just started our career.

Priya: So you want to betray me? Do you want me to get married to someone else?

Narayan: I need time.

Our life impacts the lives of others, not just ours.

Priya: oh ok, now you remember about your siblings. I fought at home just for you.

I am already 28 years old, for how long you expect me to wait, for you?

The discussion didn't lead to any conclusion.

It just fed the emotions, with negative vibes.

Murthy was watching the quarrel of the love birds.

He later realized, someone was standing in front of him.

Swami Nathan: Excuse me, sir! can I share the table?

Murthy: Sure, sir!

Swami Nathan a mid-aged person;

A successful entrepreneur, a famous personality in media.

He introduced himself to Murthy.

Swami Nathan: I am waiting for a friend, do you mind sharing the table with them?

The unexpected rain changed the routine life here.

Murthy: I am alone here. No, issue Sir.

Though Swami Nathan has spanned across various hurdles in the profession, he remained to choose to be an eligible bachelor, the entire country knows it.

Murthy was delighted to see him wanted to know his personal life, but he felt uneasy about that discussion.

Swami smiled at the Murthy and Said.

Swami: I come to this coffee shop; a lot of memories got attached here, my success, failures everything this shop has witnessed.

Every time it teaches me a lesson when I cross the door.

I like the aroma and the vintage setup of this coffee shop.

Nothing much changed here, in the fast-paced world.

Murthy: Yes, I too often come here. It gives me relaxation and distracts from the routine life.

At the very instance, a woman comes by.

She looks elegant in her fifties, well dressed in her professional outfit.

Swami: Hey, I am here. He waved his hand.

She approaches the table, where Murthy and Swami were seated.

With an American Assent.

Swami, you have put on the weight.

Swami introduced Lakshmi to Murthy.

There was a chit-chat, they completely forgot Murthy.

Lakshmi: I was surprised to see your message, and that too on Facebook. I never expected a request after 25 years.

Swami: I just came across, couldn’t recognize you first.

The school farewell photo popped the memories, couldn’t restrict meeting you.

Lakshmi: So what’s up?

There was love in her eyes, and it got sunk with words.

Swami: I am fine. I am a thriving entrepreneur.

Lakshmi: As always, close-ended answers.

What about your personal life?

Swami: Good, blessed with a beautiful wife and kids.

Lakshmi: Seriously? Good to hear. I didn’t see any of their photos. Don’t you introduce me to them?

There was jealous and a sense of free of guilt in her voice.

Swami: Surely, they left for France.

My daughter is participating in a fashion design event.

Lakshmi: Oh, nice!

Murthy observed the entire conversation.

An element of friendship was evident, and it got suppressed the unexpressed love.

Lakshmi overwhelmed with joy.

She shared her family photos.

She saw the ice-cream wale, and she pointed, it reminds our childhood.

Swami: let’s leave Lakshmi.

They gave a farewell to Murthy and left.

Swami and Lakshmi went to the ice-cream wale.

The chit-chat continued both of them got well placed in life.

They lead a luxury life, but was it a happy, and contented one?

They departed in two different paths, after the short visit.

In the coffee shop, Narayan was trying to soothe Priya.

Priya: My parents started seeing bridegrooms.

Next week they are coming.

Try to understand me, let’s face reality.

We are earning well we can battle together. I am part of you.

Narayan: Priya It’s not merely us.

I bore my family responsibility our decision creates chaos in the life of many.

If you can’t wait, go ahead and marry the U.S return groom. It’s good for your future, why to seek an ordinary life with me?

Priya breaks down. She weeps and leaves the Coffee Shop.

Narayan murmurs, as he got as exhausted with life.

Within a few minutes, he realizes his mistake; he pays the bill and runs behind Priya.

He exits through the door.

Elderly couples entered the Café Shop, accompanied by kids.

She was dressed in a yellow silk saree, with flowers behind her head, with a big bindi on her forehead and natural makeup, she lit up the atmosphere of the gloomy day.

He was tall, handsome, with a big mustache in his plain casual.

The kids were playing their age was just the numbers.

He was cracking jokes and made attempts to make her smile.

She pretended to be angry, as she doesn’t want to lose herself in his trap.

His efforts, at last, got rewarded, she burst into laughter.

She: You are so stupid, yet I can’t stop falling in love with you.

He: You couldn’t get anyone better than me to bear you.

She: It's true, feels good to come out of the cages of our house.

We became kids with our grandchildren.

He: It would be good if Shyam stays in India. Throughout life, we were running from our insecurities to make him secure. Never realized life is short, and we forget to live while running for an insured future.

She: That’s life, at least we are together. It feels like yesterday.

The Dog fight, Sacrifices, Anger, Love, Stress, Share of work, Attitude, Support for each other everything remains part and parcel of our life and have survived it through.

We lived, the love between us got drowned in responsibilities, but we have enough memories to relinquish it.

Murthy realized life is a wave and the choices, responses we make direct the future.

Life is harsh at times with situations, but when the loved one stands by us, we have nothing to fear.

He realized the rain has stopped and has taught him a lesson.

He called Sudha Lakshmi Priya, and apologies to her and asked her to come to the Café Day.

He ordered a cake that fits them and celebrated their journey in private, and they feasted on the choco-bar after the celebration to signify their love.

Narayan Murthy Swami Nathan didn’t witness the Parallel universe of his life at different time zone, he just used his memories and predicted his future with common sense.

A sorry from the heart means a lot, and if they preferred the genuine spirit in you, they can’t stay away from us.

A sorry said at the right time.

A risk handled at the right time.

An ego, defeated by love at the right time.

Simplifies life.

One can switch the 9:00 to 5:00 job, but a 5:00 to 9:00 job as well needs to give you peace, and one should be passionate about it without being an actor in life.

Happiness exists within us when shared with the person we love, accessories lose significance.

Let the action speak, Love and Do Express often.

With the contradicting characters, Choco-Bar lives amongst the flavors.

Some people delay and live punctual by allowing passing by clouds, whereas others enjoy it at the moment.

Life is short, like a Choco-bar. The choice is ours, don't waste it. Live it.
