Dr Krishna was moving out of his apartment to get some fresh flowers for his prize ceremony. He was driving his car at a speed of more than 100 km/h. Who will not be excited if he will be receiving a prize from our President the very next day! Imagining that very moment he was mesmerized in his own thoughts.

Suddenly his car jumped as if there was a speed breaker or he drove over something. He thought for a second but then moved on. He bought some fresh flowers from the shop and returned home. He immediately went to his bedroom and slept earlier than usual. His nightmares were filled with some cats roaring at him. The unusual nightmares broke his sleep. He woke up with a shock, panting, and saw darkness all around him.

"Shankar! Switch on the lights," he shouted.

Shankar came running in the room and turned on all the lights.

"Turn it on stupid!" He shouted again.

"Sir, it's already on."

Krishna felt his chest pounding and suddenly his chest carried a heavyweight. He rubbed his eyes, washed them with Shankar's help but nothing happened. At last, doctors came for his aid but they were also not able to identify the problem. They advised transplant but transplant also needed a reason. His eyes were perfectly normal in the checkups. His prize was hanging in his drawing-room but he couldn't see it. He was feeling helpless.

Krishna lost all hope when one day Shankar secretly called his mother. It was three days since his ceremony and he didn’t inform his mother. The thought of informing his mother flushed from his mind. His mind was too satisfied with suicidal thoughts that no other positive thoughts came in. At last, his mom came to the rescue. His mom was very spiritual and superstitious. And so she had only one piece of advice - To come with her to Anksh Baba in Nepal. Being a scientist, Krishna never believed in such things but helplessness overpowered his beliefs. He wanted to die blind rather than going to Nepal.  But a blind man can be easily controlled by anyone. He was taken to Nepal by his mother forcefully.

Some narrow lanes of Kathmandu welcomed that blind man. Suddenly after some kilometres of a long walk, he felt that he was entering a large hall. Suddenly he felt that he was sitting on a slab of ice. He was being touched from head to toe by Baba Anksh and there was nothing that he could do. He was so troubled that he wanted to run away.. Baba guaranteed that he will make his eyes return in 21 days.

Krishna remembered nothing specific from his speeches but he just remembered him saying, "He took life from the cat and the cat took light from his eyes."

He was kept in a room in which he was able to feel only the grass that was on the floor on which he was ordered to sleep.

For the first week, the people rubbed an unusual powder all over his body. His everyday schedule consisted of eating some leaves that were so sour that he vomited during the first three days. Enchantments were done all over him and they made him drink a liquid which he believed to be Cow's blood. The most intolerable thing was when his eyes were washed with some liquid because of which he shouted so helplessly that his shouts could be heard miles away. He was tortured badly.

During all these activities he was tied with a rope and was fully naked. He just wanted peace, even if it meant his death. He tried to die but he was kept in such a room where he felt nothing other than four walls. He sometimes beat his head on the wall but it is not easy to die. For two long weeks, he became a little better than a beast and a little worse than a human. Every time when he pleaded with them to leave him, they said,  "Twenty One days, Everyone Pays".

He was all alone, he never heard his mother talking nor Shankar.

Sometimes, his mind made him think that his mom was either killed or was kept hidden by these people and they also want to torture and kill him. Few more tortures, few more dust, few more liquid, few more sleepless nights and he could bear no longer. One day, after his dust session, he was made to rest on a long chair, eyes closed. He was not allowed to open his eyes.

Suddenly,  he opened his eyes and saw a long knife on the table, within a second he stabbed it deep in his heart.

For a few seconds, while he was panting on the floor, it was too late to realise that it was the 21st day.
