Being Human

Ever since our mother gave us life, we entered into this universe as a purified human with no ill intentions to hurt others, no desire and no greed. But with time, we face the reality of the universe and develop a sense of thought that makes us become the trash we have never wanted to be. We become the slave of our thoughts and start to destroy the good qualities inherited in us from the start of our birth. We learn that the self is the first priority and then comes the others. We are taught that competition is a must to succeed in life. We are told that money can buy everything and we tend to develop a sense of greed. We are told that power comes with wealth and we start to risk our lives for accumulating that wealth. All these things help to develop a successful, wealthy and powerful person but it lacks the power to develop a pure human. “Why pure human?“. A pure human comes with a responsibility that can benefit himself as well as others, that can make the world a place to live with peace over competition and happiness over greed. Our desires and greed evolve the evil in us and that makes us lose the nature of being human.

We tend to debate, fight and hurt others in pursuit of our own happiness but we never realize that this turns our friends and loved ones into our enemies. We tend to act as if we are here to live for eternity and we can proclaim the power of our wealth after our cremation. Little do we know that we are just mere temporary visitors out here wishing to experience the life of a human and taste the joy of being a thoughtful and sensible human. We hear the death of our loved ones and our friends and tend to believe, “why life is so short and unfair?”. But despite such harsh experiences, we never realize that we are not putting in any effort to make ourselves worthwhile to be remembered. Do not let oceans of tears roll down your cheeks when you are on the bed of death for not being the person you have always wanted to be when you were born, “a purified human being”. Underlying such qualities and behaviour of a human, let us try to inhibit the good qualities of a human in ourselves as well as others by offering our helping hand to those needy ones and sharing our fortunes with those poor ones. Let us know that greed can’t bring love and desire can’t create happiness. Let us show that hatred and enemy is just a word in the dictionary and isn’t applicable in real life. Let us shower the love we have received and share the fortunes we have been gifted with. Let us be the human that can make the world a better, safe and secure place to live for future generations by imparting good human values. So, let us try to be “Human”.
