Astral Projection

Once early in the morning, I had a dream that my soul is departing from my body. My soul is travelling in the universe out of my body. When I woke up I thought it was a fizzy thinking of mine. When I met my friend, just for laugh I shared my dream with him and he said that this is not a little thing. This is Astral Projection. I asked what's that? He answered that Astral Projection is a willful out of body experience that assumes existence of soul or consciousness called an 'astral body' that is separate from physical body and capable of travelling outside throughout the universe. I laughed at him, and I said don't make fun of mine, I have that much sense. I know there's nothing like this. He said he has seen much movies about this, he has read articles on it. He suggested me to read the articles of 'Brian Regal', 'Terence Hines', 'Robert L. Park'. He was so sure about this astral concept, this made me feel scared. I was not able to understand what is it?

I thought rather being scared, let's read on it and get the actual meaning of it. When I read I got that Astral Projection is a paranormal concept. It is the term used in ecostericism. It is an ancient idea and occurs in multiple cultures. Its actual concept is derived from China.

There is no scientific evidence on this, hence it is called pseudoscience. Then the question arises that why a person feels like an astral body? I read many books and I had a conclusion that the cases of patients having experiences suggestive of astral projection from brain stimulation treatments and hallucinogenic drugs, such as ketamine, phencyclidine, and DMT. Thus drugs stimulate the brain function and lead to the astral body.

 According to Neuroscience, during metabolism of body, various hormones synthesize in body and whatever we think the neurometers keep that as memory. When we fall asleep the neurometers start recalling memory and due to which sometimes this type of dreams occurs which is misconceived as astral projection.

Bob Bruce of Queensland skeptic association says that Astral Projection is just 'imagination' or 'dream state', none of correlates with things like astral body. It is unconvincing and unimpressive thought. I think that it's just a mental state of human being that leads to the departure of soul where there is no soul depart actually it's just the imagination, thinking, or stimulation of brain.

Some claimed that it leads to Metaphysics, Sleep paralysis, Lucid dream etc. Today many more people say that they had experienced it or it is a kind of magic, but on contrary, this is just a mental disorder of human being which is misconceived as astral projection.
