A Serious Crime

Domestic violence is a curse on our society. Most of the cases reflect men's domination over women. It belies the idea that men and women are equal. Domestic violence is like cancer that has the potential to destroy the social fabric of our society and abusers want all person they should also promote hate.

Unfortunately, though such incidents are reported from across the country and globe, there are many such cases that go unreported every day. In fact, even educated people indulge in such crimes. Many among us may have even witnessed this in our neighborhood, but never intervened or called the policy saying 'it's their personal matter'.

The government should introduce stringent amendments in the Domestic Violence Act, to deal with the rise in household crimes in neo-rich families. Besides, youth should participate in creating awareness among the masses. We cannot afford to ignore this social malaise as it can seriously hamper the nation's progress as the concept of the crimes is a lack of morals and integrity is also sick.
