A New Love, A New Beginning

"I love you", he said. 

"I love you too", he replied! 

Yes, I didn't write anything wrong! This love story was unlike others, this time it was a boy who fell in love with a boy! Amit, a 17-year-old although he went to a co-ed college, but like other boys spent most of his time in boys hostel (which was a rule, definitely). Where boys of his group had liking towards the girls of the college, Amit had a strange infatuation towards Pranay his classmate, his roomie, his best friend! While the whole college thought them to be only best friends, it was these two who knew the reality! 

Like Amit, Pranay too had a strange feeling for Amit which was something even he had no idea about! Both realized that they're more than best friends when came their farewell day! They were sobbing inconsolably and the whole of the college had their eyes on them. It was then they realised that yes, they were in love with each other and confessed their feelings! That was when in front of 5000 students they hugged and kissed each other! For some it was awkward, for some, it was an aww moment, after all maybe for the first time somebody had witnessed a same-sex relationship! Soon they all left for their homes and it was now when Amit and Pranay gathered strength and decided to confess the same to their parents. It was now one of the most difficult times for them because this time it was not about convincing parents to marry a girl from different caste, but convincing them to marry someone from same-sex!

A boy had to convince his parents to marry a boy! Well, the first reaction was equal to a heart attack for them, for you can imagine how shocking it can be! Well after so many years, their prayers were heard! It was the best day of their life when section 377 was abolished!

Yes! They were the happiest at that day! Now even the parents couldn't object their decision for it was no more crime now! Amit and Pranay eventually married in a huge ceremony and set standards for others. And once again they said, "I LOVE YOU" , to each other, but this time everyone applauded high for them with hooting! Their parents were equally happy! This was now a relationship that was far different yet so beautiful from others! A relationship the world may remember forever!
