A Menacing Journey

The scorching sun smiled with all its brightness, spitting out golden rockets and making the picturesque flowers of the island look like beautiful brides ready for marriage. Alex was stranded on the island; he scrutinized all around to find something which might assist him to return home, but the views seemed unexpected. He was famished but didn't have anything to eat. 

He advanced further into the forest, intending to find something to eat. The leaves crumpled and crinkled, and the twigs cracked as his iron weighted leg stamped on it. I was a swollen dam, just ready to burst open and get flooded. To his astonishment, he found some succulent, appetizing and aromatic food lying abandoned on a piece of a huge banana leaf. It was as if he had found a door to heaven. Although he first felt apprehensive, he jumped on the food and began eating it; it was dangerously moreish but in a split second an era of darkness surrounded him, trapping Alex in pitch darkness which resembles the darkest part of hell. When he unfurled his legs, he found himself intertwined and entangled to the trunk of a tree. He was unnerved and his blood was running cold.

He saw that a group of tribes swarmed around him because he was that flower which everything found attractive. The sinister and menacing feeling he had was petrifying. The tribes formed a circle around him and peering at him as though tempting something fierce. 

After an hour or so, he found a thin layer of rope towards his left arm and a small piece of glass fallen down, he secretly picked it up with his legs and slashed the rope and escaped. When he came out of the forest, he saw his mum and dad waiting for him. Relief washed over him like waves and returned home.
