A Ghost's Unfulfilled Wish - 24

Chapter 24

 John said I just have one wish in my life and that is "My Roslyn"... Will you help me to find her? A big coconut from the tree fell just beside John and there was a heavy breeze and John heard someone screaming and crying loudly. John was in shock he wasn't scared, but he did not know what was wrong or why is the ghost crying… he heard Jency calling out to him, “John where are you? John are you there?”. “Yeah Jency I'm here”, Jency walked upstairs “what are you doing here all alone John??”. “Was on a call Jency, there was no network inside the house so came here” he replied. “look at this breeze, you might catch a cold. come on let's get in” she said and holding him by his arm she dragged him into the house.

While getting down from stairs John constantly looked behind... As he walked into the house Jency said “lunch is ready come on let's all sit together and eat”, John was not in the mood to have his food, but he did not want to disappoint Jency, he sat down finished his lunch and then looked at her and said, “Jency I am feeling drowsy let me sleep for some time”, Jency nodded and smiled at him.

John walked into his room and closed the door. He hit the bed and shut his eyes, his mind was so restless something about the ghost was bothering John, "he recollected everything that the ghost did to help him when he was in trouble", "the ghost was sorry when it knew it had hurt him", "the ghost obeyed his words when he said Rahul to close and open his eyes so he won't be able to see the ghost", but then he questioned himself what did Rahul say?, he said he saw me walking downstairs and he heard ghost weeping and today again I heard the ghost weeping….but why did the ghost cry exactly When I asked help to find Roslyn? And even yesterday what I asked is "I was a good person to you or a real bad person like who I was to Roslyn?" I said this and walked away that's when Rahul heard weeping, what does this mean?

Does the ghost know Roslyn? Oh god, I am so confused I am unable to come to a conclusion wondered john.. “ok let me ask the ghost to help me to find Roslyn again and see what it does?” John said "hey good soul…. I was talking to you about Roslyn. I can't explain to you what she means to me… but I ruined everything… will you help me to find her?” John expected some kind of response from the ghost but the ghost remained silent. “You heard what I said?” screamed John. Jency opened the door and asked, “who are you screaming at John?” John immediately took his phone and said “Charles… Charles is online”, Jency shrugged her shoulders and walked away. John tried again…. “will you help me find Roslyn?” From nowhere a piece of paper fell on John's lap which had "YES" in it... John had a bright smile on his face, he said thank you and shut his eyes, John came to the conclusion that the ghost has nothing to do with Roslyn.

John slept for a while and when he woke up he was in a really good mood... He spent time playing with his little ones... Sometime in the late evening Jency walked into the kitchen to prepare dinner, John said “Jency, I will take you all out for dinner today”, Jency smiled and came back to hall they all got busy watching TV and John noticed Ziya was missing, he got into her room and there he saw Ziya sitting with puppy face, “what happened Ziya why do you look sad” asked John, “daddy my friend said she will come to meet me every day but why hasn’t she come?” John said, “oh Ziya I forgot to tell you, your friend came by but you were sleeping.” With a bright smile, she asked “oh what did she say, daddy? Did you talk to my friend?”. John said “yes, she said she is going on a trip with her daddy…”, Ziya interrupted “like how we all went?”. “Yes but your friend is gone for a long trip and she wouldn't be back for at least 3 years, she told me to inform you”

Ziya became sad again John asked “now don't be sad my baby let your friend come back after 3 years now you go get ready let's go out”... Ziya became happy without even asking where she jumped from the cot and opened her wardrobe to choose her dress, John thought to himself I am sure you will forget your friend in these 3 years.

They all went out for dinner had a good time and reached home around 10: 30 pm... The night passed with peaceful sleep.

It was Monday morning John as usual got ready and started to the office... John reached office and got busy with his work, as he had a client call, he searched for his notepad in which he had noted few important points about his project, his note pad was nowhere on the desk or draw so he took his bag and looked into it, he found 2 books, among the 2 one was the notepad he was looking for and the other was his college magazine...

Keeping his notepad aside John was quickly flipping through the pages of the magazine. The minute he saw Roslyn he froze, he was lost and his landline started ringing... John came back to his senses. He closed the magazine and got busy with the call... It was 20 minutes and the call was still going on... Narayan came sat beside John to check on something, he knew John was on a client call so he quietly sat there and his eyes caught the magazine.

He grabbed the magazine and started glancing through the pages... John ended the call and said “Hi Narayan” and looked at his boss, Narayan was sweating, “Narayan are you okay? Why are you sweating like this? Asked a really concerned John... Looking at the page in which there was Roslyn's photo Narayan started panting heavily.. words barely coming out of his lips…“ghost… she… she is the ghost” and flung the magazine away.
