Yes, I Too Want to Laugh

Yes, I Too Want to Laugh

2 mins

Let go of sorrow, let sadness depart,
I too want to laugh, to bloom from the heart.
To play Langdi, Phugadi, hide-and-seek once more,
And relive the childhood I knew before.

I want to tear through the curtains of night,
And live this moment in freedom and light.
To wander once more through gardens green,
And chase butterflies across the fields serene.

Let pride and arrogance fade away,
Let innocence guide me from day to day.
Let me break the walls of pretence and pride,
And laugh like a child with nothing to hide.

One day that moment will come again,
When every old heart becomes young again.
Like children, in nature’s loving embrace,
Every living soul will smile with grace.

Let the child within me freely arise,
And sparkle once more in my heart and eyes.
Let lies and illusions depart from my way,
And let truth illuminate each coming day.

Let me embrace the wonder of being alive,
Let my forgotten dreams once again revive.
For life is not merely sorrow and strife—
It is laughter, love, and the joy of life.

Let every sunrise awaken delight,
Let every sunset be peaceful and bright.
Let me dance with the breeze and sing with the rain,
And welcome lost happiness back once again.

For age may grow, and the years may fly,
But childhood’s spirit need never die.
If innocence lives within the soul,
Even a wounded heart can once again be whole.

So let me laugh, let me live, let my spirit be free,
Let the child within dance joyfully.
For the greatest treasure, wherever we roam,
Is finding the child within—and bringing it home.
