In Search of My Destination

In Search of My Destination

At what crossroads of life do I stand, With sorrow and loneliness close at hand?

Pain clouds my path; hope seems to flee,

Not a moment of solace or peace for me.

Yet never shall I surrender or fall, I shall rise with courage, whatever befalls.

Like a fearless warrior, I shall fight, Through a merciless world, through darkness and blight.

I long for a heart that will share my pain,

A loving voice to call my name.

To breathe warmth into a life, cold and grey,

And adorn its ruins with love’s gentle rays.

No diamonds or pearls do I desire,

Nor grand palaces that wealth can acquire.

A simple life, with contentment aglow and a chain of smiles wherever I go.

With every moment, onward I’ll stride,

Towards new horizons, with hope as my guide.

I’ll carve a golden future, radiant and free,

Like a bird in the skies, where none can bind me.

Though countless storms may darken my skies, I’ll gather my strength, and once more I’ll rise.

For somewhere ahead, beyond sorrow and strife, A new dawn awaits me, a new lease of life.

My destination may yet be concealed,

But my faith and courage shall never yield.

With dreams for my compass and hope as my guide,

I’ll discover my world, with wings open wide.
