if I had a blank canvas

I'd fill with red, white and blue

let the colors bleed into each other

painting chaos and disorder.

if I had the power to turn back time

I'd go and tell the 15 year old me

study hard, confess to her and move on,

your friends will leave behind his town.

if I could run free in the fields again

not caring about injuring my legs

I wouldn't stop until I reached the horizon

and see the sun set over the dreary ocean.

if I could stop chasing ghosts of

people who've left this world behind

I wouldn't bottle up all these regrets

with pizzas, burgers, and nuggets.
