Produced naturally from animal horns and carapace.

From Bakelite to Xylonite, plastic resulted to be an aid,

Synthetic, strong, cheap, but never decayed!

Obtained from fossil fuels; used in bags, bottles, furniture

Increase in usage, increase in manufacture.

It’s non-renewable and non-biodegradable

Our balanced life, it makes unsustainable.

It’s either incinerated or dumped in a plastic gyre,

By pollution, it’s hard to respire.

The aquatic life it really threatens,

Initially maybe a boon but then a great burden.

Land pollution and soil infertility occur

Extreme rise in marine litter.

Let’s say no to the huge bane- plastic,

Or the consequences may be even more drastic!
