The Ivies

The Ivies

Hey Readers,

I wrote this poem when I was about 8-9 years old (I modified it a bit) and had also a big fan of FIVE FIND-OUTERS series along with some other series of the author. This narrative is based on the Novel- Strange Messages

Once I was known as 'The Ivies'

People lived here in great content and joy.

I was full of lush green plants and trees,

The vivifying atmosphere I could enjoy!

But after many years,

No one lived with me.

I was filled with sorrows and tears,

There wasn't a single tree!

The trees would never regenerate their foliage

My façade looks sombre.

Day by day increases my age

I am just left with the Ivy, I ponder!

The air no more carries the fresh scent,

In the garden just weeds are present.

Not a single soul comes to my door.

No aspect is as it was before!

Back in time, I felt so great

But now I'm old and obsolete.

Still, I desire to become 'The Ivies' again,

To overcome this grief and pain!
