Why I cried when giving my graduation speech

Was because I remembered

All the time I spent

From crying when going to school 

Because mummy wasn't there

To crying to go to school

When I remember all this

I just can't help but cry

Was because I remembered

How many times I was forced

To do home and classwork

And even get punished when I failed

Or didn't do them at all

I just can't help but tear up

Was because I know

How much of a journey

I have taken so far

Learning all subject

That one teacher can never teach alone

When I remember all this 

I just can't help but weep

Why I cried when giving my graduation speech

Was because I have tried a lot

For not all that started with me

Ended with me as I thought

Having to carry heavy books and pen

And sitting 90 percent of all-day

When I remember all this 

I just can't help but wail
