Where Do I Belong?
Where Do I Belong?
Where do I belong?
Or, do I belong at all?
This question forever
Harasses me.
You don't belong here,
This is ain't your home,
So reserve your opinions
For yourself,
Way back then, they told me.
You don't belong here,
So don't meddle in affairs,
Even now, they tell me.
I laugh, I think
Then where do I belong?
In "no mans land" it seems.
Even there, I guess
The guard would say
"Go away woman
This is no place, for thee."
I look up at the sky
Laugh and ask,
Has "HE" reserved a place,
For the likes of "Me"?
"HE" heard me
And laughed out loud
Encircling me in "HIS" arms,
Said "HE", the earth, the sky,
The waterfalls and meadows,
All embody me.
For I'm nature,
I'm the mountains,
The water in oceans,
Running wild and free.
The birds and flowers,
And all his creation,
With all its abundance,
Is my home,
And its all, for me.
