When The Hour Ends
When The Hour Ends
Sing me to bed,
Make me fall asleep
And wake me up again----
When this hour ends.
This hour is of darkness,
Of sadness, of gloom,
Where life is just breathing
And thus no flower blooms.
This hour is my life---
Filled with sorrows and misery,
Where hour is not time
But failures my treasury.
The dawning sun of this hour,
Has got stuck within the clouds
And the night sky is darker
And no star shines today.
Waiting long for the sun to rise
Now it's cold and I am tired.
Snaky snowflakes crawl all around
I feel colder and mired.
This hour all efforts go rejected,
Dreams are blurred----
And I feel dejected.
Still, the sun is down.
Wishes are broken
To be wished and smashed again,
Oaths are taken,
Just to give you pain.
Spirit is lowered,
Fire is subdued.
Failures are showered--
This hour is too rude.
My heart's screaming quivers the
Silent cord of a person who is dumb.
My needs are voiced
Through his voice which is numb.
I am heard but left unheard
By Almighty; I have this wish
To live, to love, and to succeed
Will he ever pay heed?
Thus I pray to Him--
Sing me to bed
Make me fall asleep
And wake me up again
When my hour ends.
