What People Say
What People Say

In this journey called life
People make assumptions and consider the right
With their sayings rife
I am sorry to say, I don't see them in the same light
People say life was meant for work
Without it nothing you can gain
While some people consider this a quirk
What about the poor who have felt nothing but pain?
People say that to spot an artist good
We must search for the talent popular the most
But what about those who pass by in hoods?
Their talents and them considered as ghosts
People say that mingle with the herd
Only in them you may find friends true
But what about that eccentric feathered bird
Should it be left just because instead of red it's blue?
People say that doing one wrong causes no harm
That you learn from the mistakes you do
Is "two wrongs make a right" just a charm?
Or is it just the majority's view?
While some live the life, the "people's" one
I am just an oddball questioning their thoughts
Why from the truth must they always run?
Why must only one idea be bought?
I question their lack of seeing the different paves around
Than the one most traveled by;it isn't the only way
To one fate or destiny you aren't bound
There's no need to follow what "people" say...
