Just A Reflection..
Just A Reflection..
The little bluebird that sits their alone
Always singing songs, wondering where was its home
In its eyes, loneliness I could see
Or is that just reflection of me?
The richest girl who has fair-weathered friends so many
Manages to mask all her agony
A friend that is true is what she wishes to find
Or is that just a reflection of my mind?
The handicapped boy who faces inferiority and pain
From others who laugh at him as if he didn't have a brain
That determination in his eyes to tell the world who he is
Or is that just a reflection of what I would have found bliss?
The burning wood that ignites in the hearth
Is looked down even though it has worth
No appreciation, no apology it ever receives for its deed
Or is that just a reflection of what I need?
Now, standing in front of this mirror I see
The mirror of doubt never showed truly me
By stopping to see my reflection and just showing me
I now understand how great I can be by being me....
