We both left our homes,

Our family, our comforts and our memories.

Both our parents had tears as they bid us adieu,

We were walking the path into a new environment,

A new set of people, waiting to be called family,

We both had finally achieved the love of our lives,

Yet the journey demanded courage and sacrifice,

It doesn’t seem long since we just graduated,

You got married and I,

To the Military Academy.
