Love At First Rain
Love At First Rain
I was walking in the rain,
Through the lane, where I first met you.
Struggling in the knee deep water,
I held your shoes and then we got through.
I remember you telling me how much you hate the rains.
But that shouldn't bother you now,
I’ve heard the roads there aren’t as bad.
All spick and span, neat and clean.
Just the way you like it, everywhere.
I still like getting wet in the rains,
Something I could never convince you into,
Rather, much like all the other things too.
I still have that shoe,
You asked me to 'keep for a day',
All spick and span, neat and clean.
