Determination Always Wins

Words were her companions, 

And books her soul. 

All she wanted to do, 

Was to read and study. 

Pressures came in like tides

Dissuading her from doing so. 

Caste, creed, race and colour, 

To top it all, the gender, were some of those. 

She didn't deter, and held her ground, 

Even when tides rose like a tsunami. 

Her determination couldn't be destroyed, 

By any storm or hurricane. 

She proved to the world, 

That determination wins. 

No matter the circumstances, 

Determination always wins.
