Vortex Of My Thoughts

Is it possible to drown in the vortex of your thoughts?

If it is, then there I am trying to stay afloat.

Calmly they surround me stealthily creeping around my back,

Watching me closely

Surrounding me with their wrath.

First, I feel their warmth but not for long 

These impetuous waves run over me

It sends a chill through me,

I begin my descent into the darkness 

Suddenly I begin to feel giddy.

I am exasperated and all I need is a gulp of air,

But the chaos I run from is a reflection of me.

I am the chaos and the chaos is me.
