Virgin Season
Virgin Season
Who art thou you?
I thought you knew...
You are the star in my window new.
Your eyes like crystals, so clear, so true
Rekindle my flames I hid for you.
With your breath touching my skin
My pores bloomed beyond the sins
And I did nothing but freeze
As your presence made my heartbeat weak.
It was at that moment I knew, "who art thou you?"
Like the iceberg flipping,
You dazzled me with your spectrum.
with thoughts of my veins dangling on your hem
I stood unknown of the life I was living.
The time you asked me something
I can't recollect the reaction on me.
I don't even remember what you asked
And what I answered.
Just one thing I remember
I saw a person and found my world.
Yes, i fell for you at first sight.
You were a rainbow in my window's light
And stole my heart with your unintended smile.
You, a shooting star came for a while,
Spreading your shine, you left the sky...
They say if you are a writer
You know first impression isn't the last,
and that first love vanishes fast.
Yet, like a fool I stand to cherish afar,
I'm in love with that shooting star.
To be honest, it was yesterday,
But yesterday has slipped away.
So I whisper to my heart again,
"Get up, miss, don't stay in pain."
A virgin heart, it falls so fast,
At first sight, it thinks it'll last.
And they say first love stays for life,
Through every storm, through every strife.
But I am no legend, no fairy tale,
My love stories are destined to fail.
Still, this love is the root of all,
It makes me rise, it makes me fall.
From the start till the star,
Love is my foe, love is my friend.
And till my heart stays pure and true,
I know I will find you.
It's called the virgin season,
A heart that loves without a reason.
Single, yet dreaming every night,
Of a love that feels just right.
