Veil - My Best Jewellery
Veil - My Best Jewellery

I have a lot of potential and zeal,
Though I am inside my veil.
No, it's not under force,
It's my religion and I have accepted the course.
My veil is misinterpreted by many,
But it is hard work and perseverance by which I can earn my penny.
It's just hiding my beauty from the lust of the world,
Why is it wrong to be only my husband's pearl?
Veils exist in all religions across the universe,
They call it ghoonghat or cloak, I call it pardah in simple words.
It's not that I am bound or slave of men,
No, my thoughts still flow, I grow in my own den.
No attire doesn't matter, it is a sheer attitude that counts,
You can kill them still being cloth clad, and yet pounce.
If I could achieve my goals yet being covered all over,
Why can't you, you need only passion to deliver?
Hope you perceived my message all clear,
I am proud of my veil, covered yet overcoming plenty of fears.
