Fate

It was a rainy day,

Jane was sitting, waiting for her bae.

John came rushing towards her home,

Carrying a lot of gifts and a bouquet of the gloom.

It was a special day indeed,

Anniversary of the couple, a year complete.

Jane also had a great surprise for John, she wanted to break the ice,

Two birds were turning three, Jane was pregnant to be more precise.

John entered the gate,

Though it was very late.

Jane smiled seeing her beloved,

And was overwhelmed seeing a bunch of gifts.

She went upstairs to bring the preg card,

When she came down John was nowhere, not even in the backyard.

The phone rang tring tring,

Jane rushed to pick up to enquire who was bothering.

It was a call from the cops, they found a body resembling Johns,

He met with an accident, was bumped with an oil tanker.

Jane was surprised because he was with her,

The gifts were present in the corridor.

If he died who had come to meet her,

With tears rolling, she remained in a standstill.

Life is so unpredictable you see,
