Uncalled
Uncalled
I wonder what world we live in.
No lessons learnt, the air's so thin.
Our history has seen the blood of our kin.
Yet we cannot fathom a way to not sin.
Where will we go, what will this victory do?
Some more land, riches, and power too.
But the grass will be green, the sky - blue!
So then who is wise, is it me or you?
They say you must fight for what is yours.
I say who decides that really, it's just a farce.
We are fighting on Earth, now go to Mars!
Nothing is enough for the mind so sparse...
So much bloodshed, so much loss.
Humanity has really gone for a toss.
Is this what God once went on the cross?
Tis' a shame - This decides who's the boss!
The days that saw these deaths.
The days we didn't take the steps.
Those days are what we will remember. Just that.
And, the fact that this war was uncalled for!
