She entered the bathroom,
Staring at the mirror,
Blankly,
Suddenly,
Fell on the floor,
A drop of tear,
Rolled down her cheek
From her right eye,
And then
From her left eye,
And the tears started racing,
Making her already pink cheeks
More rosy
And her nose red,
And her beautiful eyes hazy.
Found difficulty in
Gulping saliva,
And her heart felt heavy,
And plenty of questions,
Ran across her mind.
But the major question,
"Why wasn't she good enough for anyone?"
Why her parents
Were never satisfied with her?
Why her brother
Always had complaints?
Why her grandparents
Wanted her to marry away soon?
Why her boyfriend
Promised her forever,
Kissed her,
And left?
Why her friends
Always found a reason to ditch her?
Why was she never good enough for anyone?
She wept,
And wept,
And heard a knock on the door,
Asking her to vacate the bathroom soon,
She splashed an ounce of water
On her face,
Picked her shattered pieces of heart,
And left the bathroom,
With a brighter smile,
Even more strength,
And a chirpy voice.
But still,
Her questions remained unanswered!
