...lovers lounging in the morning light

She's lost--

    looking deeply into his eyes

As if he was a snake

She- lost in his trance

The morning grew heavy

diminishing it's light

His expression of love

Suddenly switched

"It's coming, do you hear---

         I've warned you of this.."

Before she could question

There was a loud screeching noise

Heavy footsteps-- shaken the door

          She grabs for her love

      He sat still

Cold to the touch

 Her eyes widened

As it gave her chills

" Is this real?! What's going on?!"

He turns to the door

     "I'm sorry baby-

I can't save you this time."

The door swung open

Stood--

A woman wrapped in cloth

Hair like oil-- black as it ran

     Down her frail frame

Her eyes sealed shut--      A

Tarnished crown sits tilted

Upon

 her head

Her fingers were blades

     Stained with blood

This tormented soul

   Sniffed the air

"She's looking for you"

He said to his love

"W-wh-"

It heard her voice

It let out a loud scream

Her blades clanked together

As she raised them

It began to slice through whatever it ran into

Throughout the room

Slowly making it's way to -- Her.

Terrified She looks to her love

He's gone

Yet his voice faintly remains

"I can't help you this time"

She says aloud

"Why?! Help me!!!"

The entity switches it's direction

Crying out

 Begging for help

She hurriedly gets under the bed

          Luckily scissors were there too

As the creature stopped

It began to smell the air again

From under the bed she noticed it's feet

Thinking she'd stab

To escape

         or to defeat

Drool from

The monstrous being fell upon her face

A tone

From her cellphone

Gave away her hiding

Place

She turns to mute

In turn

Now face to face

It's face she embraced

"It's me, no it can't be..."

They both let out screams

As it drugged her out

    Blades shoved deep within

            Her mouth

She woke up--

  It was just a dream

A nightmare

         Of the shadow me...

"Words often cut deeper than knives"
