Through The Night
Through The Night
Wept through the night
Thinking of you
He got up
Was disturbed
Thought it was the flu.
My nose was running
Eyes moist
Voice was chocked
His sleep was disturbed
And he bellowed.
You're disturbing my sleep
I need my rest
I've office to go to
Am not like you
An utter waste.
In the dead of the night
I was offered medicine
For my flu
So that I won't cough
I won't sneeze
And won't choke.
He went back to his sleep
Indifferent as ever
I went back to you
Your thoughts
Weeping and crying in the pillow cover.
After that I forever remember
To muffle the sound
When I cry
I lower the voice
Make no noise
Cover my mouth
Cause I don't want to sound
I don't want medicines
In lieu of my pains
And be told
I've nothing to do
I'm an utter waste.
