She dolls up,

For you,

You don't bother,

With mere compliments,

She turns up,

With a smile,

Despite sinking heart.

She waits to hear,

From you,

You don't think,

It holds importance,

She makes the call,

Lifts her spirit,

Just to hear your voice.

She anticipates time,

To spend with you,

You call and cancel,

Test series on TV,

She consoles herself,

Looking at pictures,

With you.

Slowly her spirit breaks,

Every time a tiny bit,

Till one day,

She stares at the mirror,

Holding her tears back,

And you lose her.
