They Had Not Any Money
They Had Not Any Money
In the vegetable market,
Two boys, filthy and indigent.
Hung a crummy bag,
'Apna Time Aayega' one of two's shirts said in dismay,
One held the bag,
Other the fractured brinjal.
He threw that into the bag,
Then aired a mangled bell pepper.
Dirtily dressed in the vegetable market,
Heads of the two boys could barely reach up to my waist.
Everyone was wearing masks,
Fearing the Coronavirus attacks.
They were not in a state to afford any,
Will the virus spare them just because they had not any money?
