Dedicated to Nirbhaya the braveheart whose search for justice is still on...

On a busy street just near the bus stand they see her walking around every night,

Her eyes are searching for pieces of life which she had lost there in broad daylight.

The search for her father and mother for whom she was their last ray of hope,

The search for her interview call letter which got lost in a tattered envelope.

The search for her million dreams which suddenly vanished in to thin air that night,

The search for her dignity which was butchered by some men with all their might.

The search for her screams asking for help which fell on deaf ears around,

The search for her own battered body which lay in a pool of blood on the ground.

The search for life in the hospital plugged and covered from head to toe,

The search for every breath she inhaled which felt like a painful blow.

The search for candles with the melting wax which trickled like the drops of tears,

The search for the smallest ray of hope despite the gloom, amidst the fears.

The search for her last tender moments when her body couldn’t bear the pain anymore,

The search for Justice against the perpetrators who still live on like an eyesore.
